A random bit of nothing.

When i left my previous server ( low rate retail like).
I was looking for something different. and i chose the other extreme, High right have everything, sorta retail like.

I was not Very enthusiastic. I went to the donations. "Hm. Cheeper then the last one."

I went to the server stuff. " Hmm. same oll yadda yadda *fast scrolling* "Wait. What? free fly?!" I was instantly sold.

THEN. i joined. I tell you. I do not miss walking maps. i was able to fly to compleet quests, all i could think of was. " This is How Aion Should Be!!!"

I leveld and before you know it, hard work ( and a little cheating cause i knew where to level, what to farm for kinah)
I was level 50. I had billions of kinah, and nothing to spend it on. Till along came Bad Devil. Suddenly I went from Killer, to Murderer. I had kickin gear, Then i leveld it to +10. Remodled it. I even bought ELDER PLATE. i had taha spear, i had a extendible spear, i had a taha greatsword. all +10. I was ripping people open in pvp. Then i said, " I'm tired of the way these wings look" so what i do? did a lil donatin. ( okay alot) and bam. the wings of my choice! they looked neat, they flapped fast. and i was happy.

It was not long till i became honord holder of sacred aion info. Rangers and Mages. Sneaky lil buggers.

I had to figure out a way around these over-powered monsters. Match after Annoying, keyboard throwing. fist slamming yell at inanimate objects match, I struggled. Suddenly. I figured them out. No ranger was safe. No mage could stop me.
I ate damage like a fat kid after cake. And I just. Kept. Comming. I was quite proud of myself.

But with all fun times. It had to end. No one would pvp me. And ( at this time) Heiron was not too populated with worthy foe. A seismic wave and a a S.P.Cut, would ruin quite the elyos day. It was then i started to encounter a new foe.

Quests.

I thought to my self ( at this time.) "I don't see anyone with a real title. they are all bought." So there i went, making a story for my character. And after this. yet another foe.

Noobies.

Whist running around and questing and -Still- owning everyone/thing. I was bombarded with so many questions. please of information, aspiring elyos murderers wishing to train and wanting to know where to go.

Soon, I was logging on just to chat, With friend and noob alike. I hardly finished any quest's. or anything for that matter. I was filthy rich in kinah. And semi well known.

Then came The GM apps.
I did not care how it would turn out. for better or worse. i just thought i'd pritty an app up. Submit. Go kill stuff.

Next morning or so, i log in. I new something was different. i couldn't pick it up. ( My name was in yellow). Hey my name was in yellow. And i thought nothing of it other then: Nifty.

Suddenly. Emails filled my box. wishing me congrats and even got word from Carl himself. GM Kibz. Was Born.

It started out as well as it should. I was a gm on other servers, how hard could it be here. Little did i know.

I Was tough, But fair. I would be logged in for 11+ hours a day. ( i had time on my hands.) I had made both an asmo. and *shudder* and elyo. I was not required to be one or the other. Again little did i know. I stuck with asmo's Cause that was were most of my information was given to me, via experience, and adventuring. But The only thing i could do for the pigeons, was sell em dyes. But even Dye Vending had its price. I was asked questions i did not know the answer too. and after afew days of that abuse? i was through. I did not give a damn. I was staying Asmo and anyone who didn't like it could kick rocks.

And so it began. I was Gming on my own for large amounts of time. serving asmo and elyo alike. I had my rules. which i made clear in painstaking detail. only a blind retard, could miss them. Even in the forum. i posted my strict rules. that only applied, it seemed, when i was online. ( so a majority of the time)

I did not ask much. and i got good results for the most part. Hackers never seemd to come on when i was around. so i stuck with customer service. I figured out how to unstick people. * holy grail music*

The problem was, and ammusingly so. ( to me) Was most players who were stuck, were elyo. So i would spend larg amounts of time in heiron, as an asmo. Trying to port elyos from stuck maps. I had one rule while porting. ( and id annouce it as i spoke of what i was doing) Dont try and beat me down, while on the job. if your porting some one, its a motherflippin firetruck of a time to type when your interface is lag tastic.

MY response when words would fail? Bloodshed. The response to bloodshed? QQ. And i felt no remorse about it. 98% learned right away. I was hated, resented. Taker of AP. And i was fine with it. Saw no issue. SOON the elyos, for most part would learn a red dot standing in funky armor not doing anything after a few hits. was a gm. And so it went. those who didn't back down? i drank ap. its a good energy drink.

I abused those who would not listen, and gave rewards to those who did. MY events were loved, and hated. Because the loser got no reward. I was not about to get into that. They would QQ, but they would fight hard. Suddenly victory would taste much sweeter then its current flavor.

I gave them Value. MADE them EARN it. And for positive or negitive, i was popular. Hate me or like me, they KNEW i was always online. and when Kibz was always online? Hackers seemed to dissipate quite often.

I was given a Job. I was not given Server Specific training. I did what i could. with what i had. I didn't spend time in the GM zone. Screwing around (as often) as the others. I spent it out helping the people, ( Or slaughtering those who thought it would be funny to lag me) Why didn't i stay invis? Well when id start lagging id start punching keys on my board, and then before you know it im visible. and all im trying to do...is get the damn code out to unstick others.

I would make events and post them in the forum, my mistake is i didn't post them in the forum designated for me. for said events. Truth be told i didn't think it mattered.

I awoke one day. to find my self removed from GM status. and although the team felt it was not right. ( Carl himself said i was a great GM) i was still removed.

I threw a embarrassing emo nerd rage fit. That was embarrassing. let me tell ya, lookin back on it.

So i temp quit. Gamez aion just didn't have...that spark anymore.


after another server, i again got bored. ( esp when that server confined us to the abyss.) So i came back. and things were drastically different. I started a new char, who i fell in love with. and not just because i spent HOURS in customization working every kink and detail till she mimicked my very likeness, No. I liked her cause what i was able to do with her. There were so many variations of armor and weaponry i could combine, i became. an Assassin,

I reached lvl 55 with the familiar stated of kicking ass. as long as certin paramiters could be met, iwas quite unstoppable. But i wasnt fully tweaked. I still have armor to level. Things to do, quests to complete. And now i do so, with Wings i am proud of.

I enjoy my time here, Dispite the fact that Gamez likes to try new things every now and again. I am for Free Flight Everywhere. make that clear.

Would i take GM position (again)?

I doubt it. I'm Having to much fun. I hang out in the zone with them now and again but.

The GM title is just not worth the hastle. Free stuff be damned.

I Temp Quit After i was removed from GM. Currently i have yet to go to any of the no-fly zones. Just miffed about it. but i'll give it a try before full judgement.

Jemindra. Temp quit. Which means i still wanted to play the game. but going from godly to meh. just doesn't put you in the mood.

 

No, I quit asmodian all together, gave away my Elite Guardian Tribunus bow + ranger penna to a friend, still have the +15 anuhart ranger set though.

I thought it was a cool story myself.

Now I am not advertising any other site. I love Gamez aion. I think however, there are things we could add. After snooping around or spying, ( sue me.) I've noticed Some features from other sites that we might benefit from.

Call it Keeping an edge on the competition.
Anyway, One feature i dug up and found nifty was a "Faction Counter" A flash bit that shows the faction ration and selected job class Ratios for the server. It was an Active/interactive Peice that counted the members and real time and would show peak counts as well. IT even had an OVERALL count for the servers overall count, not just who was online. This tool, I think would be useful for a Helping in the decision of which race a player should roll, starting out.

There was another Tool i scouted called "PVP calculation" It was a Handy tool that went in the User CP and would show -you- and -you- alone, what your PVP Damage And Survivability would be, should you get in a scuff. its nifty because though YOU cant see others specs, It would go through and generalize and calculate where your best pvp hunting grounds would be and the percentage ration of likely hood of a better geared player showing up. It would show PVP hot-spots Based on the player-count per area. and had Colored Map bits to show where each pvp population is based at. So you would not go try to farm and un-knowingly walk into a raid. This too. Was a Flash Active/Interactive.

The final tool i found that i Liked. is what i Called, The Gear Butler. What this tool Did was take your build. and like "PVP Counter" IT gave your overall Damage and whatnot PVP and PVE. It would give upgrade alerts and suggestion based on your build. tell you what stones you might want to replace or add more of. It had a database of all available armor in game and when it gave an upgrade suggestion, it would show the armor and what the stat calculation would be based on your current build.

I do not know if these are tools that are available to server devs. or if the servers i spied on had thoes tools exclusivity for their servers via a coding god, But i figure i would mention em. It's my random thread. I'll mention what i want.


Also i think The store prices need to come down a bit. I'm not saying they are money grubbers but some things should not cost so much.

Also! i think ( dunno if it's done already..) That they should have a Re-model Store. Meaning you go through the armory and choose what armor you want. Hand over your goods to the GM incharge of the store. and then bing bang boom, You get remodeled items back! i think like 500M Per set or 560M with Dye Included. Just a thought.
