ABG set bonus is the root of all evil on GameZ.

(Disclaimer: I will not be supplying complicated retail/private server formulas to back up my postulation, because neither I nor anyone else has the proper retail formulas, and GameZ are just speculation and best guess.)

[Short version: GameZ implimentation of of set bonuses to level 55 ABG pvp armors, where one does not belong, has created all of the class imbalances and the wasted man-hours trying to tweak the game to something resembling playable.]

The creation of Aion and its current retail state was done over many years of testing and tweaking by unimaginable hours of gameplay, and feedback. Changing any of these numbers, even the tiniest bit, can upset the balance of the game in so many ways. That being said... (and we will ignore the obvious that GameZ doesnt have the exact formulas to work with)

The introduction by GameZ of the bonuses associated with the ABG armor sets (totally made up by GameZ, and not existing on the retail version of the game) seems to be the catalyst for the inability to investigate (from retail) the proper way formulas work. Anyone should be albe to log on retail, take notes of his character level, armor, weapons and do some damage to either a dummy, monster, or pvp and someone should be able to discern a close working formula for how this was accomplished. It seems logic breaks down at an ABG level. (Yes, quantum physics reference.)

Simply put, sets 30, 40, 50 are supposted to have the bonuses. Sets 35, 45, and 55, are not. We know why the ABG has the bonuses, its been said a million times and I dont want to rehash it. (I'm talking about pvp sets.)

When you put these set bonuses on the set, you think it is only a small thing. But in the big picture, those small bonuses are creating HUGE increases where they don't belong. A tiny bit of defense to a templar goes a long way. Espcially if you have the formula wrong. (I'm just saying.) Same for mage, little bits of extra magic damage can be devistating for a delicately derived damage formula.

Lets just double the bonuses for ABG, but only newly bought ABG. The old ABG would keep its standard 1x bonuses. And make the highlighted name of the armor RED. Instead of fabled or whatever, we will call it, Incendiary. Instead of an added % to run speed and attack speed, lets make it a multiplier. The more you pay for an item, the more the multiplier will be. And dont put a cap on it.

 

Yea, but the thing is it overpowers every class which at the same time balances it out a little (except if you don't have abg i guess).

That needs quoted for this thread. They really want to hide the truth. Also, it seems to be the policy for any thread ever posted. There is about as much logic applied to each thread closing as to making a cheese sandwich. People should be able to speak their mind, and state their experiences without every other thread being closed. If GameZ is so afraid of the opinions of their posters, why dont they spend a little more time with quality of content and less with quantity of Cash Shop use.

Not completely but a part. however this is THIS huge part i'm talking about.
Concentration was OP on gamez, and needed to be fixed.
But now, whatever they can say, concentration isn't retail like at all.
I've played cleric on retail (not ranger), so they can't blabla to me about it.

Fortunately not you aegis. you are those gms who are in the good part.
i'm talking about many other abusing gms/moderators.

ranger now can buff alot of buffs which have same cooldown instead of 2 like b4. and most annoying is Mau form 24/7 >.>

and due to the p.def bug. my PVE sin ( 2x masta daggers 720 atk, 700 crit and 4,2% pvp atk from APP neck.) deal 0 regular dmg on my PVP glad (full ABG) and crit at 50dmg. and 0 dmg crit on my PVP templar. lmao
