About Gladatiors

Lots of Glads nowadays using Chain set with full magic resist stones socket.

Are m.resist stones for glads are effective? sorcerers/spirit masters using magical accuracy.

And glad wearing chain set are effective too?


Just wanna know your comments cause i'm re rolling for glad now.

and i have chain set from my chanter. and i think its not a good idea glad using chain set with full m.resist stones.

 

for me y dont like mr sorcer have macc...better u go for damage like critical+atack+acc fast kill

i played glad with both plate and chain set.. i prefer the chain

 

Its effective against clerics who dont know what MA set means,but against a decent sorc or sm i dont think you would have any chance even with MR,full MR chain set+ glasses on glad = little over 2100 MR ..thats nothing. If you want it to be effective you need more than 2.2k. But generally,its good cause you can resist templar/ranger/sin skills and that is useful,you also get silenced less,but i wouldnt say that its effective against mages or even good clerics.

 

Chain full MR for glad is good.. more survive in pvp ..well its ups to player..if you dont know how to skill right on glad or how to counter your enemy..its useless even you use FULL MR ..

 

Stick to chanter! so our shop will be complete on characters. huehuehue.

 

Using magic resist set for a gladiator as your main set seems pointless for me. You have to socket your weapon with magic resist as well just so you can have more than 2000 magic resist and I doubt it would even reach 2400 which seems to be the viable amount of magic resist. Unlike templars with Aether Armor, gladiators don't have a buff that would increase their magic resist. I only switch to chain set when I'm on my glad when I'm trying to run away from zerg. Shiled and mace then switch to magic resist set and switch from Slaughter to Defense Preparation.

 

Ive been more than a year playing only glad (now im on other class) but ive always used plate wth atk + crit build. And i have to disagree with Fanta in MR build = survive. I can take the fking dmg while im feared or rooted or whatever and then heal my self enough after that and rape the sorc/SM ass (sometimes i loose yeah xD) but to tell u the truth im not so scared about SM,s or sorcs like other ppl ;o. If its 1 vs 1 i usually win (Not bragging just stadistics) ha ha.

So i would go for a critic and atk build on glad and palte gear, Always.

 

I have both Plate and Chain but I still prefer Plate though. My best defense is my offense. Kill them before they kill you.

 

Oh believe me if you get feared by a SM and a decent mage nukes you meanwhile ... you're dead. Can guarantee you that.

 

what he said full mr now is good cuz most of the ppl zerg and u have to survive acc crit attack build if u have 2-3 clerics healing u till they run out of mana

 

In my opinion if you get feared(be it Chain or Plate) you're pretty much in deep trouble. A decent enough gladiator could kill someone before he gets disabled hence going in an all out attack build isn't bad compared to chain full mr. At the end of the day both sets are great and it will all depend on your play style. Both sets are equally good in their own way none better than the other.<3

 

IMO A good gladi will have both and switch in certain situations.

 

True, but to those who can't afford it should be up to their play style. After all there is no exact way in playing

If they cant afford ABG they can surely afford 2 APP sets.

 

Well im talkign about 1 vs 1, thats like saying if ur stunned and u got 2 glads on u ur fcked up.
That would be 2 vs 1/3vs 1/ probably ur thinking (and most ppl) of how to survive a zerg, or a group with more than just 1 guy ha,ha. But im talking about 1 vs 1, to wich i have to add, its getting harder to find 1 vs 1 pvp lately, not coz of zergs, because when i see a guy, elyos or asmo, just one, i dunno why 80% they just run away hahahaha! im feeling like most of the ppl these days are afraid of 1 vs 1, they gotta be used to be in zergs or groups... c,mon

i loved my abg chain set on my glad. there was very few glads that could beat me 1v1. as for clerics they werent that hard to kill in the mr set just required using kds more effectively

 

Yes chain set with full MR for gladiators is also good since you already have decent base damage,powerful melee weapon (like spear,dual swords and GS) and your powerfull attack buffs.. With conditioned wings, you'll be a beast!! Glad has already good HP and parry so, to survive against mages(your deadliest enemies), you need to have magic resistance and silence godstone..
