Aion Updater

Well.. I started updating my client.. And I found a 2.0 patch.. Everything went Just perfect.. but then I opened my NCLauncher.. and It started updating the client to 2.0.0.3 / 4
All the updates downloaded perfectly.. but when it came to install them.. I got a .dll error [Code 57 / 58]

I'm still trying to fix it.. but tried many ways on my own and epicly failed.. I know the goddamn error is on the bin32 library.. but well.. can't find what and how..

If someone got a sollution.. I'd be glad if he/she could share it with me.


Or maybe someone got a 2.0.0.0 to 2.0.0.3 Update patch. . .
If someone finds one share it with me.

I'm still trying to find out the problem.. I think it's not client-side.. It's patch-side error, since the patch replace some files there and might be in trouble with the client itself..
I'll work on it to check what's exactly happening. .but well.. If someone already found the sollution.. just lemme know..

Try to repair aion before update, If it dont work, try to find on google the name of the broken file, download it and replace it (every time making a Backup of the deleted files)

 

Keep looking guys, I want a solution till the patch come out xD

 

oh, one more thing, try to DELETE the broken file(make a backup of the file!), with the deleted file, try to repair it again.(problably, it gonna download the file again). Maybe I gonna do the update in some minutes(I already got the files) and check it by myself.

Hi again,

I tried renaming my own file and letting it try and copy a new TEST.pak file and it only had a file less than 3KB which is definitely incorrect. It should be a 255KB file and I have uploaded the file for your convenience here:

Just copy that file and overwrite the current one too:
C:\Program Files\NCsoft\Aion\Data\dialogs\TEST\TEST.pak

And re-select the Repair (Consistency check). Best of luck.

Last night, after many different attempts to deal with the files and try to find a way to get it to work, I finally gave up. I completely uninstalled all ncsoft software, then reinstalled the ncsoft launcher and Aion from scratch. I no longer receive any errors and it is working smoothly.

i need to update only to 2.0 or 2.0.0.3??

 

2.0 Will do the job.. But you might find some features bugged..
That's why I'm working on that error..

that won't work since the error isn't on the Data Folder.. it's on Bin32 Library..

 

I have had an error issue while updating my client, i will let you know if i am able to fix this.

Ok the issue i think, is that the Retail version of Aion has had a new build '2.0.0.4' whereas we only need to download '2.0.0.3'.

I encountered issues while patching up using the NcLauncher so i just used 'Repair' until it began to download the latest patch for Retail (2.0.0.4) which then i was given an error to do with my connection to the patch servers.

I ignored this and closed the NcSoft Launcher.

I then clicked on START>COMPUTER>DRIVE>PROGRAM FILES>NCSOFT>AIONEU>
(some names may be different due to your file directory)

In there was a file named something like 'Aion_Main_2.0.0.4.ncpatch' i just removed this file and loaded up the Gamez Aion launcher.

I was able to get to the Character Selection screen with only an error window stating 'Caution ???' but i did not want to choose a character until the server is compatable.

Well, yes the problem appear at the 2.0.0.3 to 2.0.0.4 patch... the 2.0.0.4 just won't run and it keeps occuring the error.. But the game seems to run smoothly dispite the fact it's updated to 2.0.0.3 xD

That we need to update to 2.0.0.3, so aslong as you have this up. You game should run fine, although i just instant crashed upon logging into Siel, but i think it is because the server is undergoing a crash?

Well the server has been laggy all day long and it's like ready to crash at any moment ...

 

I think all these issues that are arising within the forum are only because everyone updated too early, they forget that the server is based in the US and they would most probably be running of their timezone.

So we shall have to see what happens after the server has been updated ^^
