Assassin still worth the play?

Ok, I'm fairly new here since I've joined Gamez ~2 days ago, but already got my nerd corner and rolled up an assa till lvl 53.
Beginning to farm in Core and questing off in Heiron I've witnessed most of PVP is Air-based because of the free flight, so I was wondering if the Assassin has still some chance to kill stuff; stunlock is pretty hard now because of Remove Shock, Ambush is not available during flight... I kind need some suggestions

Also, it's my first time in assassins. I'd go for Glad (My favorite class, played it in retail) if they weren't so many ._. What do you guys think?

 

A good sin rolls a glad even w/ UD ~ the only hardcake is templar now ... a decent tank can kill you with BoS and Holy Shield , however Assassin is an enjoyable class still (;
