Camping Obelisk in harkand wil not over

well all this days on gamez was to bored .. so now am playing retail again (kinde lazy xD), and when i get lvl 50 i have the curiosity to see if on retail harkand obelisk is equals on harkand Gamez. And i discover this:

So i see so many reports, threads compaint about this obelisk, but the real question is why in gamez those NPC are not there?, i remenber a friend ask to AM about this npcs and the anwser was "they are lost" (LOOOOL). If my memory dont fail me, this problem came since 2.7 version, so they were missing all this time?

Recently i was following 1 asmo and i kill him when he was trying to hide on this obelisk, and i just get 22m close to the obelisk and 1 of those asmo guards on GELK obelisk(similar elyos on harkand) hits me this:


6,416 on 1 hit

Crystal was more defended than that. Try 20+ guards on each obelisk asmo and elyos because people were obelisk camping xD. All rangers too. you step in there range and bam you were dead no matter what xD

set trap is important to keep sin from getting ap from me.it never gets old especially u know it work.

 

For a sorc you can just throw up robe of cold xD Reflects dmg for 30 minutes and that one little hit gets you the kill and ap.

 

yu are missin the point.. i mean,. in that area (obelisk) yu should not need that trap.

i think u misunderstood me..u know y i put trap?cuz i know theres no guard to keep sin away from me.thats how i get over it.i know its unfair to us elyos but hey its a cruel world.they always be whether u like it or not.dealing with it is better than complaining over and over again.

Neither of you are wrong in your arguments however the better way of looking at it is like this.

He is complaining for a solution in the long term. Meaning if the NPCs are fixed, in the future there won't be any more complaints.
What you're suggesting is the short term. Traps are great as an alert if some hidden enemy is close by, but to maintain traps waste time, money and not ultimate solution for every class.

If trying to fix the original code for the NPCs take too long. The admins could at least implement what they did on Crystal and manually summon some guards.

 

Well, seems GM´s are not interested in implement this. By the way the use of TRAPS in an obelisk area would be unnecessary if there were elite guards to "protect" the zone, in these case obvious we have not elite so asmo assas can come and go without being detected.

just dont bind at hanakarnd if u like get zerged in that obelisk, so u should fight against them :3

Thats a nice vid, with crazy steps, by the way, being an elyos, there must be guards in hanarkand coz lots of asmos sin are lurking around looking for a high ranking elyos to kill,so there must be a change somehow, coz its very unfair for us, specially those who players who are not using any bots or abusing any bugs, were lucky we are Elyos.
