Cannot Connect to Server

    Hey, I'm having a problem connecting to the server, I recently received a notebook from the college i began attending, and am trying to play. I followed the steps in the connect area of the main GamezAion site, and got Aion at version 2.6.0.0 I followed the steps in the guide [2.5]Freefly,Console,Chatlog to change the patch back to 2.5.x.x. I finally got everything as I thought it should of been and after running the game through the .bat launcher I enter my username and password, then get a message cannot to connect to authorization server. I then check the regular Gamez launcher and it says that the server is offline. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    make sure u have DirectX 9 and .NET framework 4 installed
