cant log in

i have just downloaded the game but i can't log ind (ingame) it says the id and the password don't mach but it works then i log in on the webside?

 

Some question:
– Are you sure you are trying to log in Gamez and not clicking the NCSOFT launcher instead?
– Does your password contain special symbols?
– Is your password long?

If the answer is yes to the last two questions, you will have to change your password, because that's what's stopping you from logging in game.

 

I can confirm special characters are an issue in the client itself even though they work in the website. 2 points here:
1. What is the current limit on password length? I wasn't aware there was one.
2. Why not hardcode password validation on the website when you register/change password so it is not possible to set a password that is too long or contains special characters in the first place?

25-30+ characters would be considered as a long password. There have only been a very few cases where people had their password around that number and they couldn't log in until they shortened it. However, I haven't seen any limit on the website.

 

Yea that reminds me of a joke:

"During a recent password audit, it was found that a blonde was using the following password: "MickeyMinniePlutoHueyLouieDeweyDonaldGoofySacramento"
When asked why such a long password, she said she was told that it had to be at least 8 characters long and include at least one capital."

Can't think of a different situation where anyone would want a password that long lol.
