Chanter Sucks now.. Agree?

Im a chanter.. ^_^ and i win a lot of duel through my stun and fall combo.. before.. i can easily beat glads.... BUT NOW!! i suck like hell when i duel glads... becoz of their new activated skill.... the Unwavering..... My chanter is my main.. so i feel down.. lol.. just sharing... should i quit chanter now?:alien:

 

wats this u can no longer stunlock glads with cheap ass tactics


fights depends on gear and skills, even when UD was broken I beat every chanter I fought one on one, chanters are a support class they heal, and buff, yes they can do good DPS and hold their own in a fight but thats not their most important role

 

I'm rather sure, a good chanter could still possible kick a Gladiator's ass. Train around a bit and develop a tactic. =p

 

Hmm... your wrong... chanters is one of the most powerful pvp class... yes we supprot but we can beat classes through our stun locks... so dont you dare disgrace the chants... its obvious that ur a glad...

 

I always thought the sorc and rangers were the most powerful dps classes.

if they know what their doing and have good equips chanters can easily kick ass, I remember Crustyundies OWNED as a chanter and he always seemed to know exactly when to heal and let me or one of the other glads or temps tank and when to get out into the front lines, and even with when UD was previously working ever one on one fight that I saw between him and a glad he wiped the floor with them whether it was real pvp or a duel

Well, that depends on the gladiator you fight, your godstone, the way you chain your skills. Remember... UD is 1:30m

So, I doubt it takes 5minutes. If a gladiator uses UD, you try to kite him, and wait till it enters the last 1:30 CD and THEN you attack.

I never said they cant DPS I said thats not their number one priority, chanters are a support class in that they need to help keep their teammates alive and buffed and they need to know when to focus on heals and when to go and fight read my previous post about one of the chanters I knew for more info

and yes I am a glad Im very impressed you were able to tell Im a glad especially with my sig with my actual chars in plate armor and using spears

good luck kiting when the glad uses whirling strike, ankle snare, lockdown, and tendon slice

personally when I see a chanter most of the time its leap smash/now whirling lockdown then tendon slice and by then ferociuos or swift strike combo GG

Chanters who rely 100% on stunlock are baddies.

Sorcerers who rely 100% on glacial shard/flame spray / whatever the hell nuke cannon they'll pull out their fat ass... are baddies.

Etc.

Learn your class... you are a healer/buffing orriented class with a few really great debuffs. Stuns are far from the only thing you can do -.-.

 

If you are trying to wait out Unwavering devotion, you gotta outlast it.

Things like reducing their attack speed, slowing their movement, as well as out healing their dps (I heard mace and board still worked for chanters) will provide you all the stuff you need to outlast a Gladiator's Unwavering devotion. Also, if you don't like the fact that everyone gets every stigma skill in the game, go play on Crystal, I heard you have to equip stigma stones over there to have the stigma skill :O
