Cleric vs. Chanter?

Which one is better over all for end game purposes like DP, PVP, Raids, stuff like that.

 

Currently id say cleric > chanter but you never know with gamez, clerics could get super gimp tomorrow

 

depents on the way each 1 plays, but a well played cleric could easily beat a chanter

 

in my opinion the cleric is better..i played it for 5 months and i like playing it more than a chanter^^

 

for dp clerics, for pvp clerics, for stun locks chanters, for powerfull shield buffs chanters

 

Mmm healer vs buffer...

I would say cleric.

 

I would say Chanter. Why? Not because my main char is one:biggrin:, but because it simply rocks. You have lot of defense (skills : courtain) you have lots of stuns and a pretty high speed rate. And you will always find a group, being half healer.:kewl: Of course all the chars have they're week and strong points. You just have to find them and use/avoid them.

 

For PvE/soloing bosses the chanter is better i think.
You can stun the enemy and passively heal while you are at it.

For everything else i like the cleric more. It can survive situations you couldn't imagine. xD

 

clerics. why?

well i played a chanter for like a month and i got pretty good at it. but i can honestly say that they suck. they get owned by dual wield 10%, glads got their UD back so we can't stun, barely anyone we can kill (i would say only rangers we can beat pretty easily with our cds).

do urself a favor and pick cleric.

 

With the way certain things work on GZN, Clerics (with proper equips) can easily vie for "most OP" class in Aion.

So, as of right now... i'd definitely say cleric. Though don't underestimate a chanter's contributions to a group, as their buffs are quite nice

 

just to tell you , Chanter is NOT a mage , he only buffs and heals a little
he is a fighter , all chanter skills(i mean most of them) are physical , you hit with staff..
it really depends on what class u fight in pvp and what items he uses...
When i fight chanters they can't stunlock me and i wake up and stun them ..
but clerics can stunlock and kill because they got powerful spells like sorc (a bit weaker)

 

I'd say chanter :3 Because they have just about as much crit/attack as a sin or so, and can heal as well. Also, chanters have stun lock, and pretty decent defense.
Also, I play a chanter, andmy crit is nearing 800 with buffs, and my attack is about 620.

 

lol i got anuhart and i survive usually from chanters' stunlock combos...
and they are wearing abg ....
if i get abg chanters will be nothing against me maybe ^^
not saying that cleric dmg is good though....... i also wake up from clerics' combos but with low hp always , almost dead...

Cleric is better IMO but even if im wrong and chanter is better at pvp , with cleric u can tank bosses that a chanter can't
chanter though buffs the whole group and makes killing a boss easier , + easier for him to heal since the group members get less dmg..

Both are good... but why choose between these two? I got a sorcerer , the class is VERY hard to play with i can say... but it's good.
Assassin and Templar is very good too...

I wouldn't :3 Doesn't matter if people prefer Cleric. Chanters are still capable of a lot.

Personally I prefer Chanter because of their mantras and buffs.
