Solved confused bout this skill

hi guys regarding 'bout the calming whisper skill of assassin--- reduces the Enmity of a target within a 25 meter radius of you. Increases the target's resistance to Stun, Knock Back, Stumble, Spin,Aether's Hold, and Pull for 30 seconds. if i use this to my target surely his aggressiveness on me will go down but the down side is his resistance to stun,knockback,stumble,aether's hold and pull will increase?well ill be doomed then? then it should be a buff in favor to my opponent? give me some explanations on this....im very confused now

 

EDIT: Derp seems you're correct. Horrible skill to use .... in pvp LOL wow, that's just ... horrid haha. In all honesty its a PVE skill. Cause if you reduce the targets agro to you, then why would you want to attack it? Pretty much pointless in PvP if it really does what it says it does lol

 

About the enmity: Skills that reduce a target's enmity are used, to put it simply, when you're trying to get the aggro of a mob off you. That's why plates (tanks) aim to INCREASE the enmity of a target with skills like Taunt and classes like songweavers or clerics have skills to DECREASE the enmity of the target with skills like Ode to Friendship. They're pretty much trying to get the mobs off them, cause they can die much easier than the tank classes.


"Enmity of a PC" does not make sense So do not bother decreasing anyone's enmity in PvP.

Now about the second part of the skill: If used on someone else, (if working correctly which I think it is), YOUR resistance to the mentioned things is increased for 30 seconds. You get the calming whisper buff on you, which you can think of as like.. a mini leather UD. So yes, you use that skill on PvP, but not for the enmity part, but for the resistance part.
