Do i need to pay?

I first played for a couple weeks a while back but quit, i am back now to give it another try.

just wondering, do i need to pay to survive in pvp? it seems lotta people have high end gear that u buy with real money, and i cant afford to do that anymore.

my current goal in game is to get to the max level.

oh and btw do more people play on ellyos side or asmodian side? and where do most people hang out?

There is no need to pay if you have the patience to Vote to earn credits. There is also some non-shop gear you can get to help you in PvP like EGT set and some other Medal+AP items.

If you join Zergs while they're PvPing in Ingi and Gelk, you can earn some AP to help you get there and buy your items.

continously vote for the server and get those points traded for stuff... i suggest start with sorc or SM for PVP, buy the AP for EAT/EGT armors trade consumables for gold medals. in less 2 months you will be fully geared.
