Don't you just love Sorcs?

I was winning by a long shot, popped a dp jelly GG, no wonder half the sorcs on Lumeil are officers

This is what I see with almost every single thread similar to this one.

When a Sorc owns a player = Sorcs are OP
When a Glad owns a player = Glads are OP
When a Sin owns a player = Sins are OP
When a Chanter owns a player or cannot be killed by another player = Chanters are OP
When a Cleric cannot be killed by a Sorc or a Templar = Clerics are OP with resistance and heal
When a Templar cannot be killed in a heart beat by 5 players at once or when a Templar lands a BP blow = Templars are OP
When a Spiritmaster = wipes a party with their fear bug or goes 1v1 and just casts a million spells on you = SMs are OP (I just realized... SMs are probably the most OP class of them all specially on a 1v1, thank The Ablazed)

You cannot expect every class to own every single class in this game, every class needs to have their advantage and disadvantage over another class and that's why you're supposed to party up, so one class can be complemented by another.

We know there are some classes that have a few overpowered skills but did you know that if a Sorc lets out all major spells in one fight and they are resisted, that Sorc is screwed?

Sorcs are like a Magnum, they pack one hell of a punch but once they shoot, if they miss; it takes a while to reload and that's when you have your chance to own them.

If you know Sorcs are OP and you don't want to be killed by one, then don't fight them. Running away from battle or letting others do the dirty job sometimes before you jump in, it's not a crime.

I understand what you're saying, but the fact the a sorc litteraly has a IWIN button, is just the most retarded thing, It requires no skills to click 2 buttons and kill someone, that spell should be something like rangers blackwing (think thats what it is) that has a high chance of missing.

Although, a sorc would prolly make good toilet paper for wiping after I have a giant after-taco splurge.

 

I understand you as well but there aren't that many good sorcs out there. as a matter of fact if we're talking about Lumiel, you can count the amount of sorcs that stand out with such "IWIN" button and I could go ahead and name 5 of them.

It takes a little more than just pressing that super button to win. Sorcs have a huge advantage when they're in a zerg because they're harder to target but when a sorc is on a 1v1 or just a small group fight, sorcs need to move around, kite, cast, deal with the casting time of their spells, punch the right buttons for the right situations whether it's against a glad/templar/sin or another Sorc/SM/Chanter/Cleric.

Hell, I'm a Templar and I don't like Sorcs that much to be honest, My Nemesis is a Sorc and I'm probably one of the most underpowered classes out there but I can take on a sorc or put up a good battle.

If eventually more stats are fixed and more balance is thrown into the game, then maybe we'll see a reduction on their destructive power but honestly, I don't think that 2 skills (one being a DP skill) is something to concern so much about and focus on sorcs being OP.

 

Templars... are not weak at all... O_O;

On retail they were less powerful due to the desparity of good gears, let alone gears really xD! But here? Hell... they should be infinately strong.

 

I never said they were OP, its just even in a 1v1 situtation all i sorc has to do is pop a jelly, Wonder why most the officers that arnt glads are sorcs? cuz all they do is zerg pop jellys and 1 shot the other high ranking players...

The server is ****ed, end of story. No class is balanced.

 

I mean weak in the sense that most of our skills are conditional and/or by chance. I can't use my sword and shield against a Sorc/SM, I have to use a GS if I want to deal damage but then I have to sacrifice my MR which I carry on the shield and sword giving casters a higher chance to land their DP and powerful spells on me.

I know Temps aren't that weak when they hit and a good Templar can stand against a crowd and deal decent damage while they survive longer but not with the same speed as the other classes do.

In other words, when it comes to DPS in comparison to other classes, we hold the short end of the stick right next to Clerics or buff-Only-Chanters.
