Economic Stabilization-Lets take it a step farther

Well, I like how they stopped with the laissez-faire economy filled with our very own Madoff's and their brilliant "schemes."

If the above confused you, I would stop reading, and would definitely not post here.

I suggest a drastic action that IMO will help start a strong economy from scratch. What to do? First set a date when all player kinah, in warehouse, broker, and inventory, will be deleted except for like 1-10mil (for basics). Then, make all donation items untradeable except for dyes (if possible). Yeah yeah, the game may seem donator based. But then, add gold medals into the equation. Make it so gold medals can be gotten for every set amount of AP, or put in a PVPVE location as rare drops. Make those untradeable also.

How will these steps work together? First off, donating will be the easy way out. Donate, and you can instantly get your sets. This will in fact cause more people to donate. Secondly, it gives donators security, they have something that is not as common (right now, donation sets are everywhere). Thirdly, there is something to do, something to get. And it revolves around a PVP setting.

The above should not be done until duping is fixed. By doing this, prices should remain relatively good. Keep event prizes at 100mil for the HUGE LONG ones, and we should be good. The kinah inflation will stop, and duping will be ever so obvious. Its just an opinion.

I expect heavy flames for suggesting this simply becuase people like obtaining donation items in game without paying a cent. I honestly could care less about that. This is looking at the economy. IMO, this is a huge step forward. Set a date, let everyone know, and all will be good.

One tiny snatch. I don't know how to combat the people who bought credits already with in game money. I feel taking it away would be unfair, but I feel letting them keep it will also be unfair. Suggestions are welcome.

I think its a good idea, but feel free to critique. I thrive off flames. But use basic economic knowledge and terms. I will ignore idiotic and senseless comments, and urge staff to do the same ;O

Delete all kinah in game. everything but like 1mil on each character for necessities. There should be no one with 100mil...

Wow ryang, I can't possibly say that you have not just made a strong valid, and amazing argument for stabilization of the economy in the server. +9e99 to you, the big problem i see though, every time a player seems to make a very solid argument for something on this server it somehow ends up as toilet paper for carl's ass, sorry if this bothers you.

Do I like your idea? Hell YES.

Do I think it has a mere chance of being implemented? Sadly no.

If by some crazy miracle it happens... I will be impressed, very very VERY impressed.

 

If you look and read what hes actually saying, this would be very effective and would probably make the owner of this server alot more money. Donation based it may be, but this would definitely stabilize the economy and keep it at a good point for a long while. There isn't 100% need for people to get ABG gear, ive seen people with skill kill full ABG people and they only have the anu set. This is a very good idea, and it would also make it alot easier and affordable for the non donators.

Sry Ryang, but i dont agree... For that i VOTE for WIPE server and start all over again, no kinah and no items either... Its not fare for players like me that start some weeks ago and dont have any good items like most of the players here...
I work hard to get my 350M, so NO i dont want just 1M for necessecities and u say that cause probably u allready all PIMPED UP with Full Set/Weapon +15 and Jwls so why u need kinah... Am i right??

I Agree with the Dupe thing that Gm's put in server, so for Duped Kinah/Items disapear from server but that ideia of u is crazy... For that i prefer a TOTAL WIPE!!!

Wiping would be hard since refunding credits would take a long time. But if you wanna implement the measures and then wipe then go 2.0, thats fine also. Carl will actually have to do work then though.

I think we need another strategy other than eliminating anyone over 30b to 0 kinah... its unfair to them and it just eliminate the money for a while, the people will probably dupe the items right back again and make the money right back, they would just have to keep the money spread across more characters than usual.

Edit: Unfair to the people who actually earned that money.

 

And how bout the people at 20-30bil range? Economy is still messed up. Sure, you got rid of the massive dupers for a bit, but it did not fix the economy at all. Fact is, having 200-300mil should be considered rich. Bils should not even be discusses imo. Let certain things be tradeable, but the armor/weps should become untradeable.

 

I was sort of agreeing with you. I believe that we should do as he says in the first post, but add a limit to the kinah you can have in your inv and bank and so on to like 300m. Keep everyone from getting to much money and keep everything from costing too much. I was saying that the predicament the economy is in now will probably re-occur some time in the near future. The elemination of the kinah will only be temporary and the dupers will get their money back in no time i bet. I like the idea of a wipe, as long as there are fair rules set in place to where everyone has an equal chance to be just as good as everyone else. Donations are another topic tho...

 

fact is, those who got their kinah purged did take the blow. and that counts for every one that carried 30+b. the problem now is that the duping continues. after the purge have you seen prices go down? no. why? simply because the duping continues. it was also stated that anyone who gets more than 30 now doesn't get their kinah purged. that being said, dupers only need to remake their kinah and stash them away and everything's back to the broken economy that we had.

 

nice idea but what about the donations? are they willing to refund the donations? if no and other players retain their ABG stuff, then they would look like overpowered avatars..

Maybe if they do it partially, like wipe all Kinah and not the items... or maybe only one ABG/Anu/Balic set per account is permissible then wipe everything else...

but then again... a lot of whining will surely happen.. ^_^
