    the items needed to augment are bought with ap, but i don't know whether they work or not

    Only archon commander divine can be augmented, not elite archon commander. BTW conditioning and augmenting are different and augment tool are buyable with AP in sarpan.

    You only can augment items (ACD: Archon Commander Divine/AC: Archon Commander 'weapon') if you have it._.
    Right now you only can buy those items by trading, because they were removed from the shop. And don't know when it will come again.

    Edit:
    They are buyable in Cloister of Kaisinel too (ely side).
