[Event] Dredgion Battle

So, I was sitting speaking with a couple of players (A couple of the folks on Crystal Aion, and a few on Lumiel also. Bhakti, Xapphire, Hex, and the bunch of lumiel players I'd sat with and talked about old retail days with), and they mentioned this idea for an event. I actually liked it, so I sat down and did a bit of research on it.

The event will take place in Dredgion. Either Chantra or Regular, most likely Regular. Figure would be neat for the few players to get Kerchiefs also, so it could possibly force PVP

It consists of two AMs (One for each race to verify), 6 Elyos players, and 6 Asmodian players.

Each race will start on the opposite sides of the Dredgion (Exactly like NA Retail)

The goal for each group will be to get to the end, and to kill the ending boss. Also, killing opposing race never hurts

The race that gets to the end of the dungeon, and kills the boss first, will win the prize. Prizes will still be in beta for this event, as it will require 2 AMs for full functionality.



Technical kinks to be worked on so far -

None. Respawning works properly, point system is implemented/working properly, Adhati death ends instance as intended.

 

That's not how it is on Retail, you don't automatically win if you kill the Boss, it just makes the Dredge end x.x

Edit : Doesn't sound too bad though, except people could just rush to the end boss like most do on Retail. Wow + Tanks + Ccs

 

I know that much, theres points involving surkanas etc, but point system dont work.

Edit: Only point I said to be exact was each race spawning on opposite sides after all

 

I loved dreg on retail <3 ****ing LOVED it.

 

Although, it gets very interesting when both races fight it out at the Capt though. That is, if they both reach it at the same time. Especially when you have the upper hand, and the other race is already attacking the Capt.

Lol :3 I rush Dredge once in a while on Retail. Two Chanters ~ Two Wows/Two WOQ = Omg, that ended fast :3

 

Me, Selik, and Asphel together hosted an event somewhat like this last year. I spawned all the mobs and they helped to tell me where and to watch the races, etc. First to kill the last boss I spawned won. It was a very fun event.

 

When I mentioned this event idea I was actually thinking about (winning) 6v6 PvP on the dredgion map.
Turning it into a "who kills the boss first" makes it abusable by just rushing to the end with chanters, clerics and [insert random class].

An alternative would be to set a minimum time of 5 minutes. If you kill the boss in the first 5 minutes you will be disqualified.

 

Event approved for one test run on Lumiel shard for Vildiil

Note: Please doublecheck correct respawning in dred is working prior to announcing and summoning people Vil. Check both factions are respawning at their own sides.

Did this event tonight, went over really well and was suprisingly alot more pvp than I thought!

Technical notes:

Allow for premade group registration for this.

Do it more than one time for players.

Ask about AP loss being eliminated in that specific zone (Can anyone confirm if its like this on retail? Terrorized maybe?)

 

I missed it>_< was farming materials x( too bad. Seemed like an awesome one. Videos please!

 

I only caught one vid of it but here it is. to bad theres no actual audio, would hear me cackling like a little girl happy there was PVP everywhere. Was definitely a nostalgia blast.

Vildii as on what u asked about the ap loss on retail, no its not like this on retail. You dont losin ap if u get killed inside dredg by PC

This event was much fun but one thing need to be fix is the loss of AP. because it was not fun for the losing team but like i was saying this event is perfect for a good pvp match just need the AP improvement for a full fight w.o worrying about the dying and lose alot.
(PS: i know to some people AP dont mean nothing but relax im just saying for those who do care about AP )

Jayri, this is a Lumiel event for right now, if the other Siel AMs would like to learn the walkthrough on it I'd be happy to show them so Siel can have it also.

Also, just did a second run on this event, and told the winning group I'd post the PVP video of it.
