Same make as all previous ones. Get an answer correct, get a win.

Multiple prizes can be obtained :3 1 per question answered correctly.

Some questions have more than one answer!

Now lets get to it :p

#1: Give an example of how male and female brains differ in anatomy (not function).<Multi-answers possible!>

#2: Give an example of a test in which there is hemispheric dominance. (Such that one hemisphere "primarily processes" information, or one such that one hemisphere is more dominant for that function.) <Multi-Answers possible!>

#3: What is the name of the neurosurgical procedure in which the corpus collousum is removed?

#4: Give the three prominent theories about hemispheric dominance, and a brief (1 sentence max?) summary of what it means.

#5: From question #3, the neurosurgical procedure, what disorder has been treated with this surgery?

#6: Opposed to the surgery in question #3, there is a rather controversial surgical treatment used for the same disorder. Please give the name of the surgical procedure and a brief splat about it.

#7: Multiple Subpial Transection, give good detail into: (1) What is it meant to be treating, (2) How it is performed, (3) What is the theory behind how it works (BRIEF. BRIEF.).

    2. Nostril test. Most of the time one nostril will function normally, while the other feels constricted. The 2 feelings switch after some time due to brain hemispheres switching each other's job.

#1 Men have approximately 6.5 times more gray matter in the brain than women

#4 Hemispheric dominance refers to the way in which the two major sides of the brain function and how the processes and thoughts of a person are typically guided by each side.

the 3 main theories about hemisphere dominance are:
A.Hemispheric dominance refers to which side of the brain is dominant in a person, and this often reflects how a person thinks and learns best.
B.The basic concept behind hemispheric dominance is that most people tend to naturally be more strongly left-brained or right-brained
C.Hemispheric dominance helps indicate how a person will learn best and the natural aptitudes he or she may have

#6 Hemispherectomy is a very rare surgical procedure for treating Epilepsy where one cerebral hemisphere is removed or disabled.

    1. - women have a more developed neuropil than men
    - a woman's brain has a larger corpus collusum, which means women can transfer data between the right and left hemisphere faster than men

    2. fTCD procedure (not sure tho)
    3. callotomy
    4. Hemispheric dominance, or as many call it, "brainedness"refers to the fact that one, the two hemispheres of the brain are specialized to perform certain tasks ("lateralization"), and two, individuals show a preference toward using one hemisphere in many cases.
    5. epilepsy
    6. Lesionectomy - A lesionectomy is an operation to remove a lesion -- a damaged or abnormally functioning area -- in the brain
    7.1. epilepsy
7.2. The surgeon makes a series of shallow cuts into the brain's cerebral cortex
7.3.These cuts are thought to interrupt some fibers that connect neighboring parts of the brain, but they do not appear to cause long-lasting impairment in the critical functions that these areas perform.

Cool event sir , i actually learned some stuff x.x
