This article blew my mind. Gf tried it recently and wondered why the hell is it so empty (the game costs 70 euros btw). Then we ran into this article
    http://www.p4rgaming.com/ea-and-maxis-already-developing-over-50-expansion-packs-for-the-sims-4/

Theyr removed the most basic things, only to add them back with 50 expansions + online store for items. Check out the prices for those:

    Prices in $
    Lava lamp…0.99
    Red stove…1.49
    Bigger windows…1.49
    Chef’s hat…1.99
    Australian skin color…1.99
    Crew cut hairstyle…2.49
    Gangnam Style dance moves…2.99
    Hipster emotions…2.99
    Famous painting…3.99

If people seriously pay this stuff I have lost hope in the gaming community :p They really teach game companies that they can get away with anything.

So you're saying that big popular companies now only aim to maximize their earnings by overpricing things because they know people will buy them?!
Oh shit it's not as if it hadn't been like that for almost forever now.

For us, older gamers, was not like that in the early 90s.
This is a 2005+ trend that's have been only aggravated as time passes by. And there is none to blame but the player base only. Specially the hardcore ones, they are the direct responsible of all this crap, people that treat developers and companies as rockstars paying for every little abuse companies dare to make. Companies always will try to maximize profit, its what they live for, its what business is. So they try these abuses from time to time. And since people pay and accept them they go a little bit further, and a little bit more and so on. Until we reached 2014 and most AAA game if not every game, is just a dismembered game where they sell you the other limbs that make a whole as DLC, season pass, add-ons.

If you wanna look for responsible of all this crap, all you need to do is looking at the mirror.
