Make sure your directx is up to date as well. i had that issue until i updated my directx.

did u actually install gamez launcher in the aion folder?

 

yep. i have installed it... in the aion folder

 

K are you ready to play GamezAion??!?@#!?#!@#? lol j/k anyways there is a simple explanation to your error and it has to do with windows vista/7 being incompatible with the gamezaion launcher. So in order to get around this problem you would have to bypass it and going directly into the game. Follow the proceeding steps and you should be able to log in 2 min or so.

First of all go to your desktop and Create a New Text Document, dont worry about giving it a name yet.
Next, inside the text file copy and paste the following code:

After doing that, go to file => save as
Now its time for the name of the file, make it "Aion.bat"
This is obviously without the parenthesis (" ").

It also has to be saved as a txt document (but that shud be as default so need need to change anything)

Save it in your desktop

After your done saving it, there should be something in your desktop called Aion and should have this image

That means you did it correctly.

Now for the final step, all you need to do is drag the Aion file into your Aion Directory( should be in CProgram Files(x86)/NcSoft/Aion)
Now to launch the game all u need to do is double click the file and you will bypass the launcher and enter the game.

its the same screenshot that i posted originally. i recieve the notice about 3 seconds after it "finds the aion.bin"

 

Can you please try running the NcSoft launcher as an administrator, then when it open up go to Aion and press on play. And please tell me if it starts to download anything, (i think it might) and also see if you also receive the error while trying to play retail aion.
