how do i update?

im new to this....i searched the forum and mostly its related with errors... ...

but how do i really update it...I have a fresh install of aion..which i downloaded 3 days ago...downgraded it to play gamez...
it was 52gb before the downgrade now its 45gb

the version.ini says im in 4.0.0.4..so it wont update through the Aion NCsoft launcher..
I havent played aion since gelkmaros or 2.5 came out..(dunno which came first) so im not familiar with the new aion launcher

i tried file repair..it doesnt help...

any help?

thx....but it still wont give me an "update" button...it always says "AION the newest version has been installed" which shouldnt be the case since i downgraded

just a question though...what does the downgrade do?....i tried the normal aion...and it seems like i wasnt touched at all..its like im already on 4.0..but im a bit confused...does the downgrade literally downgrades it? or just makes it playable for private servers?

and i keep asking on how to update since the fresh install was 52gb and its 45gb due to the downgrade..it means clearly some files were replaced with smaller files....

my apologies if if my manner of speaking is somewhat odd..

The error is caused by the downgraded files. I mean, the launcher detects the game and it's thinking that it's up to date (4.0) cuz it's a downgrade. So most of the files are 4.0.

If you can't get it to work with repair, I'd say delete Bin32 folder and try repair again. If that don't work =p well... delete, re-download ^^

 

i deleted the bin32..repaired...and it just gave me a new bin32...dunno if that means anything....

oh...just for additional info...im trying to make it go back to the 52gb 4.0..since it was downgraded it became 45gb...

so i guess...i should redownload....

oh..btw....im not getting any error at all..i just want it to go back to 52gb..which is a full 4.0 update
