Hyperion Loot Bugged

At around 8:00PM CST I was in an alliance and killed Hyperion inside the Infinity Shard instance. After we defeated him, around 6-8 people were able to collect his loot but the other 4-6 of us bugged out and constantly got the message "someone is already looting that" message.

Anyway the few of us (names in image) who were unable to loot him today can have some type of remedy?

Did one of the players looting disconnect during the looting process? That is what usually causes the loot to bug. Unfortunately it is to late to resolve now, since you guys left the instance. If an AM was online at the time, you could have PM them to port you to a new instance.

 

Yea that makes sense. Unfortunately an AM wasn't online and it's not really our fault that someone disconnected during their looting, etc. so I'm not sure why we are the ones being punished for it. Doesn't really make sense honestly.

 

Wouldn't call it a punishment. More like bad things happen sometimes, that is out of your control. If anyone to blame, blame your group members. I've had crashes happen just as boss dies and could not loot in the past. You just learn to get over it and redo the instance.

 

If there's anyone to blame, it's definitely NOT my group members but rather the server and the host issues, which is why I'm here posting this. When the server bogs down and is in almost a perpetual state of lag during the 6-12PM EST hours and people are disconnecting and freezing I wouldn't blame them for that .... not much they can do.

Second, so what if they disconnect why should I blame them? Yet another server side and not player side issue with the loot being bugged and not allowing others to loot.

Also, you can't just "redo" the instance because 1) you have to be online during the portal spawn time *yes I'd walk, but NO ONE else does and 2) there's a pretty long cool-down to re-enter


But if that's the solution I guess I'll miss out on it, thanks for the help anyways.

1 person disconnecting out of your 12 member alliance and it is server issue? If even 2-3 did disconnect during the same time period, I would attribute it to server connection issues. Sometimes it is individual connection failures, whether your country's infrastructure is bad or ISP technical problems or ping reducer time limits.

When server does fail, you'll get least quarter of the player base experiencing issues.

Infinity shard is an instance you do walk to, I have no idea what you're referring to. The pve farm battlegrounds does not offer any Hyperion box loot. Additionally you can enter the instance twice daily before cooldown starts.
