A couple breakthroughs before that can happen.
I don´t think we will see it in our life time.

The ship design you see in the video was what make this idea popular. The artist took 1.600 hours of joint work with NASA to arrive at the visual you see there.

In all, that ship is supposed to work with the Alcubierre Drive, that is a paper idea for faster than light travel engine, supposing a warp system; like Star Trek, where space is compressed in front of the ship and expanded on the back, creating FTL travel that is consistent with Einstein´s theories.

However pretty as it sounds, is just a concept.

Main problem is the amount of energy to do so and in our current technological state, is only achievable with exotic matter, that we don't have and it only exist in a conceptual state to explain an unknown. There are a couple theories that do no not use exotic matter as an energy source for the Drive, but all of them require the incorporation of Quantum Mechanics and Quantum Gravity theories that are not included in General Relativity in which the drive is based, in the end, for now, is a contradiction.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg on the problematics of Interstellar travel. Most optimistic predictions set us for that in the next 200 years. And more importantly, the world priorities are not aimed at that. And some discussions argue that we would require to be at the end of the Kardashev Stage 1 development to achieve an spaceship like that, debatable of course.

So to the OP wishful thinking.
No, you wont be alive for that.

I can tell you're a simple android because all I read in your post is what was said in the video, repeating the same thing over and over like a computer algorithm. Said matter was already found at minimum quantities and its call anti-matter. All thats left for this to come to fruition is how to create anti matter in enormous quantities.

For someone with English as a third language, you speak it(or more accurately, type it) better than many people who have it as their first and only language.

Including some people who post on here, so don't feel bad.

In the mean time. Computer, play program, Catgirl Harem Number 34.

huehuehue I just made a dirty joke

I'm kind of drunk right now so sorry in advance for any other crazy posts I make, it's been a pretty rough day.

    Sure.
But wishful thinking indicates you didn't understand it.

The theoretical cost for the production of 1 gr of antimatter exceed a trillion dollars.
The most antimatter that has been produced ever is at the level of some antiparticles with a duration of no more than a fraction of second.
Currently, producing and storing antimatter, considering the annihilation factor is unfeasible.

Antimatter right now is considered exotic matter.
It exists as a concept, is an unknown.

To produce antimatter first you have to be able to transform energy into matter, we cant do that. By extremely high energy collision and as sub product of nuclear fusion experiments some antiparticles can be obtained, but that´s it.

    So, yes. Wishful thinking.
