Ironically, about an hour after reading about America's attack on Libya, I found Rise Against's new album and listened to this song ;o

I just love songs with lyrics that are profound and so socially conscious and intelligent ;o. They have even deeper ones, but I find the opening quote interesting ;P. Especially since all music nowadays is about sex, drugs, or alcohol, its a nice to hear music about broader things.

Plus, Rise Against doesn't drink or do drugs <3 ;D.

Anyways, anyone have bands/songs with profound lyrics? ;o

You can relate that song to so many things. The tsunami in Japan, Katrina, the earthquake in Haiti, the oil spill, the attack on Libya, etc ;o.
