Introducing the new Ban Appeal System!

Good morning everyone, I'm happy to announce we are now unveiling a new method of ban appeals to go with our new and vastly improved banning system. Full credit to Lautaro for developing this shiny new toy for us =)

If you have been banned please read the following very carefully as it is required to request your ban to be reversed.



Checking why you're banned:


If you're getting "You cannot access the game through this IP. (22)" this means your account has been suspended, the first step to appealing this is to see exactly why you're banned and for how long!


To do this you will need to visit the Ban System page on the GamezAion main website. Please note this link will only work if you are logged in at GamezAion already before clicking it. You can also access the bans page by logging in normally and clicking "UserCP" - after that click Ban System at the bottom.





Once you have navigated to this page you will be able to see any and all bans your account has received, please note that reasons for bans made before this upgrade will not be shown although the ban itself will as a ban from GA Staff, along with their current status/reason/etc. To view a ban's full details and possibly appeal it hit the view button to the right.





Appealing a ban:


Once viewing the details of the ban you can see exactly who banned you, why they banned you, how long the ban will last and what evidence they based their decision off.





This is now where you may request a review of your ban and appeal it. To do so post simply type why you believe your account suspension should be revoked with any supporting evidence or facts. Once this has been done simply hit "Post Message" and your message will be sent directly to our control panel to be reviewed.


Upon being appealed the ban will then be addressed by the GM who banned it and/or escalated to HGM/Admin tier. Please note that you should be polite and fully inform us of the reason behind your appeal right off the bat.





If a ban is taken to HGM tier and denied there it is considered absolute and cannot be replied to again. At that stage further appeals cannot be made and we will consider the matter dealt with. Because of this you will need to make sure you make a very strong case and behave appropriately.


We understand this new system will take some adjusting and that bans processed recently will still be operating under the old system. Because of this we will not disable thread creation in the ban appeal forum just yet however that will be coming in about a week's time. Those banned under the new system will be required to appeal using the method in this thread however.
