Is it just me?

    Hey guys, is it just me or mob hit way harder? Since Old Moon Earring patch this week, my guard gauge or shield gauge or block gauge seems to be more fragile.
    Let me elaborate with musa as my example.

    Musa are well known during awakening that we are capable of "Counter Assassination" while backpedal. This "Counter Assassination" use up guard gauge. Guard gauge is a small blue shield icon that appear when you successfully blocked incoming attack, available to all classes that capable of blocking.

    Now then, why i notice that the mob hit way harder? First during my kamasylvia daily quest, I run into King Griffon in Navarn steppe. Since I need Supreme Fancy Feather, I though to hunt some of them. When you fought King Griffon, they will fly and slam to you if you are too far away but not far enough to be out of range. During this phase, usually I just bait it to come and use "Crust Crusher" which capable of blocking front damage with "Forward Guard".

    Now here is the problem, during "in-game day time" the king griffon slam pierce only 60 of my guard gauge. But today it completely shatter it and knocking me down in the process. Another example is the wind breathe that the king griffon unleashed usually slice 40 of my gauge per ticks. But now it slice approximately 55 of my gauge.

    Please note that I use guard gauge as my example because my T4 Fairy are capable of auto potion and I usually focus in combat instead of calculation. (And my math sucks so bad :D)

    Maybe It's just me that getting less skilled or there really is a buff to monster damage or a nerf to musa guard gauge, If you happen to encounter something similar please tell me thanks :D.

    Well, I am not entirely sure of how to measure this as our server does not show "damage numbers", at least not on my PC even with the settings set for showing them. So to compare how hard monsters ("mobs") hit is going to be guess work as most other things are in this game, I mean with all the crazy RNG elements.

    But I do understand what you are getting at, since I did do some "terrible" discoveries myself in the past week or so. I took out all my "storage" characters for a go at the "Moon Event" combat quest, and it does seem like the game mechanics have changed considerably, all the monsters in Mediah for example are now actual work to kill for my used-to-be-well-geared characters. Before, about a couple of months ago, these very same characters could laughably run through a crowd of 20 or more monsters cutting them all down without even having to slow down. Now they have to stop and attack much more than once per monster, even getting knocked down by "rank-and-file" monsters. So yeah I think you might be right about them having been modified in-game somehow, but unfortunately NOT for the better.

    It would be a GREAT improvement for the entire server if the developers increased the LEVEL of the monsters, or decreased the speed at which our characters gain levels, so the characters could earn more Skill Points for a longer period, instead of having to ditch Mediah about at 60 for higher leveled monsters just to gain the Skill Points needed to fill out the Awakened Skill page.
