    EDIT: Zombies are based on Walking Dead so I'll pick:
    1. Body Armour - To reinforce my endurance, reducing damage. Gonna be running around alot, falling down, jumping around and might break some bones if I leave it open.
    2. Machete - Good for scavenging, can sharp it with stones.
    3. Water Purifier - So I can stay away from buildings and places that may have clean water aswell as zombies, best to avoid cities overall and live in the forest in this situation.
    4. Crossbow - Silent and Arrows can be retrieved

    EDIT: I would take the chainsaw but I've seen what i can do with a chainsaw in L4D2 and it ain't good especially for the other people around me. D:

    Chainsaw is nice but runs out of gas :( And also I tend to cut @Tykimik with my chainsaw so he told me never to use it again. :( So encouraging! <3

    LOL! It's okay, I remember one time I accidentally shot at.. a bunch of alarm cars and an abnormally big horde came.. :3 Or another time the tank had just appeared but we couldn't see where it is cause it was somehow hidden and it threw a giant tree trunk on my head and I died :( Talk about L4D2 fails! :D

    To really answer this question I will need some more info.. Do these zombies resemble the boring zombies from the Walking Dead that only walk but not run and you can lose them if you run a bit? Or are they they kind of zombies from Day Z who run around like mad scientists and can probably run as fast as you? Also can these zombies die and if yes how? This is vital information to decide on the matter..
