NCsoft item name changes xd

Seems like NCsoft sure went nuts these past few days. They renamed all event scrolls into something you can barely read

• +30% Running speed: Greater Immortal Running Scroll (Rx: Accelerox)
• +9% Attack Speed: Greater Immortal Courage Scroll (Rx: Blitzopan)
• +9% Casting Speed: Greater Immortal Awakening Scroll (Rx: Castafodin)
• (for level 50+) +120 Crit Strike: Major Immortal Crit Strike Scroll (Rx: Critozyne)
• (for level 50+) +40 Crit Spell: Major Immortal Crit Spell Scroll (Rx: Mojocycline)

Geez what a useless update. They haven't changed anything else as far as I can tell. According to my changed files they replaced cutscene voices and a few textures, that's it.

Stay away from it as long as you can xD

 

o_o that's a rather whacky update. It does deserve some form of naming update (least readable names) since the item names have become quite long.
Then again, most of the time you don't even read it with the icon update. I just go off the icons now unless I don't want to mix up the lower % scrolls.

Yea sounds like prescription drugs. Still, they made it really weird, atm it is <[Event] Rx: Accelerox>, don't get the point of the Rx: at the very least.

 

Somehow it reminded me of starcraft 1 when marines used the stimpack and they went "Aaaahhh... yeah this is the stuff!!"

They could put a voice like that when you use those scrolls now they are named as drugs.

(Rx: Blitzopan) = "Aaaahhh... yeah this is the stuff!!"

 

I already have some immortal running scrolls here in gamez, they last for an hour without wearing off after death. So idk. I think we still cant get those here in gamez by craft. Sadly

The new launcher update did this. They updated the data.pak which holds item names. Updating won't help you anyway since gamez uses an override now for custom item names here. You would have to update the override for the game names to change. Anyways stay away from the new launcher lol, too messy atm, you just risk breaking your client.
