New world order... 'The Future'

Let's discuss about potential future of the world friends. We have good spots to discuss on; such as human population of planet is at critical dose for planet's health and resources, climate accelerations, chemical/synthetic foods, exported terrorism, future of the religions, water and mineral sources, recycle/produce energy, emissions, and/or whatever else which you see related with future... <- means not only today's cliche sociopolitical cases. It shouldn't be that hard to think about your very own future...

I think this is way too broad of a topic.

I do think that technology is increasing at an exponential rate, but those nukes are never going to go away. And I think that eventually, with the US still constructing the SDI and stuff, they will be used for what they were created. Right now, the only thing stopping the use of nuclear arms is MAD, but that will become obsolete in the future.

I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

 

Meh, talking about politics & how horrible world is still a big cliche.

 

im not being shallow, i am sensitive about things and sitting here doing nothing about it makes me mad.

 

For now I just wanna be one of the kids that wish that the future is gonna consist of happy people that are amazingly rich, have robots for servants, and live in extremely modern cities that have flying cars and buses instead of roads ^^.

No wait.. I don't wanna wish that.

Idk what the future's gonna be like, but one thing I know, students today study history, about wars, revolutions, etc etc, and at the moment we're writing the history that students in a loooot of years are gonna study about, and.. it's not good. Soooo nooot goood.
Eye for an eye they say, but we've taken it too far.

 

It's not about today, which is not even cliche; a sickness...
But I meant far future, potential social/economical/etc. evolution of the world in next 50 years... What might be there waiting for us? etc.
I'm sure you've ideas...

And again; not today/actual sociopolitical situation.

 

Pretty, but too sci fi to be taken seriously.
Dont take me wrong, I desire a future like that, but I cant see it happen with our nature running rampant like its doing now.

And... the Russia, China coallition?... too cliche.

well kids i think the world will just be the same with more products popping up every day, more popstars rising, and more diseases spreading.

 

What isn't too sci-fi Dmax, every single day we're hearing about new technologies invented those were calling "whoa, impossible! or a big sin!" past, that's why I believe nothing will be "too sci-fi" about future (CERN, highly advanced genetic engineering, etc.)

 

They will never share the real technology they hold with the mainstream. Technology = War Toys

 

We're gonna die in 2012 So why bother.

Yeah, go look at a Cessna, and compare to the general aviation planes of 50 years ago. Then go look at a 737, which comprises the bulk of short haul fleets today, and compare to a 707 - circa 1954. Progress? Bullshit.

Then check out Ben Rich's statement (Head of Lockheed's Skunk Works) about having the ability to fly amongst the stars, but the technology being locked up in Black Programs (i.e. Shadow Government).

We are being bypassed with little dribbles of technology to keep us "Marching Morons" (great book) fooled for a little bit longer until they can kill most of us off.
