    If you have your pets out, don't try to loot. Let them loot the items. I noticed that when your pet is looting at the same time you're looting, the item gets bugged. Happens all the time at goat mountain when i'm gathering a carcass and my pet loots an item at the same time. I believe this also applies to the situation that you just had at the boss.
