Notice: IP Bans - Policy Changes (Especially for net cafes)

Attention my lovely cherubs, as we mentioned last night I have been drafting some changes to the ban system specifically aimed at net cafes although other gamers will be effected to some extent.

Basically until this point whenever we banned a user, regardless of what for, not only was their account closed their IP address was also blocked. Some users going through shared external IPs (mainly net cafes) balked at this.

After some consideration I have decided to tweak things a little bit, from now on when a GM enforces a ban it will be an account ban only - IP addresses will be unaffected. Having said that if certain IPs become common rule breakers then myself or another administrator will enforce a manual IP ban - manual bans will never be reversed.

Because of all this we have cleared the IPBans table although I understand the data may still be cached so if you are a net cafe user who is getting the banned message (Cannot connect through this IP) please provide your Character Name/Account Name/IP address and we can look into pushing it along.

Please also bear in mind that account suspensions enforced up until this point will not be removed, merely the IP bans associated to them.

Nice, you know what you should do? Its a dumb thing but, ig they want acc back they must pay 50$$.. Is a way to get servers rich but they can hack again, so i dont know.

 

You said the IP ban table was wiped? I still cannot connect and I'm not in a cafe....will it take a couple hours for it to reset or what?

If they have been baned, yes they can create another account and hack again =.=

 

Things will be reviewed on a case by case basis, especially dupers.

You realize the majority of gamers here on Gamez have dynamic IPs right? They do that anyway.

This policy is for situations where people share an external IP such as public access points and net cafes.

If certain IPs become common sources for problematic users then we will manually ban them. We have weighed the same concerns you are voicing and decided this is the best option for our users.

 

ahh so if ever that the same ip was accused or proven to be doing some kind of hacks again.. then maybe the 2nd notification to them will be ip ban even if they are playing in net cafe's.. anyway we could avoid all these problem if we all play fair.. i wonder whats the feeling of using 3rd party program.. do you still feel excited about chasing and running from different factions?

Well yes everyone playing fairly would be the ideal situation.

 

i love that part. .. anyway.. i think this will be good and those cafe owners should have full responsibility of his gamezaion costumers and the players who sees other gamez players doing those hacks and misbehavior should also set a good example to them if they want to continue playing Gamez in the long run.

Hacking will always be around especially since most of the ppl that play these games cant handle doing so without a little help from their trusted sidekicks CE's.
Tbh using hacks in a game jus makes it pointless/boring...there is no skill involved you can have what u want when you want it to me thats jus ghey.

Me being 35 have played more games than most of this community have had hot dinners ^^ and i've mastered each and every last one of them without having the need to use any sort of hacks..

So i think its high time you yes gamez community put down ur trusted CE's for once and played this game the way its ment to be played Fairly you never know you may actually enjoy yourself the way i have for many years.
