Official 2.0 update errors

I have seen quite a few threads being opened regarding issues found when attempting to update their client.

We should report all issues here so we can put our heads together and fix them

Thanks to Shinku for this link, the 2.0.0.2 client which i am sure you could update to 2.0.0.4 if you have any problems.

If you encounter issues while patching from .3 to .4 then enter the Aion folder and delete the file with the '2.0.0.4' in the name and attempt to repair the client.

This should update it to 2.0.0.4 which will be compatable with the server

* Please ensure that you run the launcher as Admin to stop MOST errors.

*Closing your launcher after an error and opening it again and clicking 'update' may also fix these issues

If you have a Bin32 corruption problem, download the file from here;http://forum.gameznetwork.com/showthread.php?p=299988#post299988

And replace with the new file.

Error 58 fix -

Error Code: 58 (FileGroupApplicationErrorRollbackNotAttempted):

Errors occurred while applying the patch,

and a rollback was not attempted.

The product is likely in an inconsistent state and should be repaired or reinstalled.

The patch application errors are as follows:

Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))


The error being thrown back is a security permissions error.

1. If you have User Account Control (UAC) make sure you run as Administrator.

2. Add the Aion folder to any white/exception list on any Anti-virus/Malware programs you have.

3. Find the Aion install folder in Windows Explorer right-click select Properties then make sure the read-only is not ticked. If it asks you to apply to files and subfolders click Yes.

4. Restart your Computer.

Dont uninstall game,in your aion folder there must be 2-3 files with name

Aion_Main_0.0.0.0To1.9.0.0.ncpatch
Aion_Main_1.9.0.0To1.9.0.3.ncpatch
Aion_Main_2.0.0.4_Repair.ncpatch

MOVE(not remove)[copy] at an other folder and try run as admin the nclauncher to download again the patch files,maybe the patch have been download with some error

...I've been updating my Client for 3 days because of this redundant problem :O

 

is there name ticket in gamezaion? coz i want to change my name of my character!

 

same problem happened with me. but i then clicked "check for updates" then it prompted me to restart the NCsoft launcher and it started updating and it worked. so maybe it was a coincidence or something lucky

 

anyone got a solution for error 58/57? or just reinstall?

 

I think reinstaling the game will be faster then dl 2.0.2 client and instaling it. Well, maybe for me. I start to dl 2.0.2 but too slow. I downloaded every think from NCLaoncher with 4x speed :biggrin:. And now i can`t w8 untill the server update...

about the aion cryph .. error try to execute the nclauncher as admin to give access to overwrite game files

I thought i was going to awake and there is was, but it appears to not have been updated.

As for the time, only a GM/Alente/Carl/Karissa will know

 

The ncsoflt launcher stop at 2.0.0.0 after the throw the 58 error, is that good?

 

You will encounter many 'Errors' while trying to patch up, just keep attempting to repair the client and this should work.

If not try deleting the latest patch file found in your Aion folder and try to patch again.

Ensure that you have no Antivirus software running at the same time, and run the launcher as Admin.

This can be done by right clicking the launcher icon, and 'Run as administrator'

That should work for Vista/W7 users.

I think its better to download the official patch release 2.0.0.2 and then update by the launcher to 2.0.0.4, in my case i hope it works , because i lost about 4 hours to download the client after i uninstall te game and always restart the update!:devil:
