Orb vs Spellbook

Hello,

When I compare an orb with a spellbook, I notice the orb has a higher base damage, a higher magic boost, and gives a lot more mana. Sometimes a spellbook doesn't give mana at all.

The only thing a spellbook does better than an orb, is giving you more magic accuracy.
To me, it seems the increase in magic accuracy is not big enough to sacrifice the amount of magic boost you get from an orb, plus the extra MP.

Does the rest of Aion agree or do some people indeed prefer the magic accuracy of the spellbook?

 

That extra MA can be a lifesaver it's worth the sacrifice of MB besides MB is capped at 2.6k here on Gamez.

 

u could find uses for the orb's extra MP and MB when it comes to fighting a zerg of mele clases like ranger , glad or even sin since hardly any1 of that class goes mr u could fight a bit longer and do more dmg.. but the mac always come in handy for other classes.

 

Ranger is not a melee class sir.

 

you could pretty much compensate the lack of mb through manastone +27 mb compared to the m.acc manastones which only add +14, which imo is a big difference.

 

orb for pvp vs gladi, templar, ranger, sin, chanter.

Spellbook for races magics

 

i played both orb and tome with my sorc.. and to tell you the truth.. i made more kills with the orb.. for m.acc? i had the buffs and yea i had more mana too

 

If ur privileged enough, use both weapons. Identifying the situation if you think the enemy has lower magic resist, you wont need much MA then use ur orb, otherwise use the tome.

But Tome is definitely the best weapon. There is a Magic boost cap and if ur a sorc and use ur buffs, u would likely almost reach that cap.

 

I'm not sure about this but i heard that tome(spellbook) gives you more attack range or what ever you call that O.O

for me, tome for SURE. I really dont get the point of orb MB doesn make that much of a difference while mac rlly does make a big difference

what they meant is regular attacks tome hits the full range, with orbs u punch them while standing next to the target

 

athana orb doesnt extend attack.
pro sorcs weave with magical attacks using tome yes, but not much as sins do.

try to make useful post for once in ur life.

 

most anti magic classes uses MR so its useless to have MB and MP if you can't kill your opponent, you can easily cap MB that is why MACC is more useful than MB but it is still up to you
