I don't know how exactly to explain the math and concept of probability/chance. But here goes anyway; you have a 6-sided die. That means an even 1/6 odds for any number. But what happens when you pick up the die, after rolling it for 100 tries, and not getting a 6? Yeah that's right, the odds are exactly the same as they were, when you picked up the die for the first time. Probability isn't cumulative, which means that the chances of getting what you want, do NOT get bigger with every failed try. It will ALways be an even 1/6 odds for getting that 6, everytime you try.

Drop rates in games are similar, as they are a set probability, which means that sometimes you don't get ANY drops at all. But it also means that you Could potentially get the extremely low drop rate item, three times in a row. However it is not something that you should put faith into, much like luck is a concept and not actually real, wanting something, or praying for it, or doing something in real life, that is supposed to make things happen magically, doesn't actually help at all, specifically because magic and superstition are not a part of reality.

So just strap in and do the work, if you want an item to drop, then add energy to the Node where you are looking. Add as many extra items drop chance scrolls and food you can get your hands on. Then just go back as many times as it takes.
