lol downloaded skyrim like 1-2 days ago im a mage though xD it works really well in this game, i like the idea of being able to have 1 spell in each hand and stuff

also a decent mana regeneration unlike most games where u gotta use pots coz theres 0 regen

1 thing they could have worked on more is the spell animation though, too many of them look pretty much the same (like virtually all fire spells)

Ditto ^^ It's a bit fiddly to get used to hotkeying spells to each hand at first though.

If you haven't already I'd suggest popping over to Winterhold and starting things there, good for the Mage line. Just started getting some decent stuff in the Destruction and Conjuration trees thank goodness! Trying to avoid fast-traveling (booo) although I will admit I use it to get between Winterhold & Riverwood (Bottom of the map) for some Winter quests =p

Horses are slow in this one >_>

 

never used a horse, the mage academy is where i went after i killed some random dragon on the way to a quest and got overweight had to google where the hell do u store stuff and they said its the first safe place with ur own chest lol

yeah the hotkeys got a lot more irritating here, i liked oblivion spell selection more


btw whats up with them not allowing keys 9 and 0 to have spells under them? xD makes u very limited lol

That's ok though, I've got my robe and wizard hat.

 

u kill 1 early on in a story mission, then they send u to some place and theres some kind of dragon sanctuary on the way there so thats where i got my other one. soon after, theres a quest where ur supposed to stop a dragon awakening and u run into 2 of them talking to each other, then 1 flies away and u kill the other

so yeah 3 dragons so far lol

note: learn to put away ur dragon bones >.> u get 3 of them 15 weight each, they make u overweight really fast

 

Yeah I avoid the campaign in Elder Scrolls games until absolutely necessary xD Doubt I'll see a dragon for quite some time then.

Side-content booyah! On the plus side you find a lot of weird little bits and pieces if you walk around the map instead of using carts/fast travel xD

Horses are kinda expensive at 1k coins but worth it for the slight speed jump, much better than the player at running up mountains. Although sadly useless at going down them =p

 

Man you guys are slow... I already got a lvl 21 Mage Who is the Arch-Mage with the robes and I got glove and boots with +50 Magicka. My fighter is lvl 36 and has full daedric so.....

 

well i got my shouts so i have 1 of those as fast movement forward xD soon ill get a stamina heal to my healing spell so ill be able to run fast pretty much permanently

i just fast travel over really long distances otherwise i run too and do random dungeons along the way (some of which were ridiculously hard coz they werent meant for lowlvls lol, had to hit a few times and run hide at the other side of the dungeon, then come back and continue xD)

i like how mobs dont scale here like in oblivion, u actually do get stronger over time. im lvl 11 atm

tbh we just started and we like enjoying the game, not speedrunning through it to show off lol

side note: i remember a video of a guy who beat morrowind in 10 minutes, that was a real speedrun (10 minutes including char creation, he recorded everything)

Nah I didn't speed run lol I've just played alot of Morrowind and Oblivion so I sort of know my way around. I did alot of side quests and beat the main quest on my fighter and the main quest is actually pretty damn good as in Fun and decent story. MUCH better then Oblivion's main quest. Btw Dual Weild fighters are op as hell I can just walk into town on the hardest setting and casually kill whatever I want. Go try it lol.

 

You could beat oblivion in about that much time using a paint brush glitch to literally climb to a door that starts the ending sequence lol.

Mages in this game are kinda boring x.x it's fun at first, and eventually if you go into illusion + conjuration you can summon a literal army of undead and even equip them all the the brim. It sucks tho cause regardless of it all you lose out on all the cool slow-mo shield blocks + killing blows that using melee weapons have. Not to mention when you dual cast with impact on for stuns you're just mad op lol.

Love the game tho D: had about 60 hours put into it the first 3 days it was out lol.

 

ill lvlup everything eventually atm im making my way as a mage coz thats the way i like it lol

anyway uve been playing longer than us so shush xD

i actually liked oblivion, just sux that i had to play on nearly lowest detail, then AFTER i beat the game i found tweaks to make it multithreaded and then it ran on highest lol. shivering isles had really funny quests btw


<<<really happy bout skyrim hardware reqs, i play on high details with 30-60 fps xD on my crappy laptop lol. they did an excellent job multithreading it
