I finally went with my sister and fiance to this indoctrination gathering that many people like to call "Church". It consisted of singing "kewl" modern christian rock, and and the pastor guy going "blah blah blah as he talks about whatever his sermon is supposed to be about".

During that time I was reading the Bible but instead of Corinthians like everyone else was because that's what the sermon was about I was reading the Book of Kings part, which has all the exciting deaths and bloody battles.

After a little bit of that I started practicing simple breathing exercises for Tummo meditation, and then when I looked up I noticed the keyboard player in the band was wearing a T-shirt with the Thundercats symbol. The one that has the black outline of the cat in the red circle. That made me realize that I haven't seen the original Thundercats cartoon in years and that I should catch up and reminisce on my childhood in the 90's of making a bowl of cereal and rushing to the living room to plop in front of the TV to watch the awesome Saturday morning cartoons that have gone to shit in recent years.

Then they had a baptism and this kid that was getting baptized walked out through a side door into a small pool/large tub that looked like a hot tub and I wondered if it could function as a hot tub. Thinking about that made me want to sit in the hot tub, but I also wanted to watch Thundercats. Fortunately I have a hot tub and could sit in the hot tub and watch Thundercats at the same time. But then it's summertime and it's really hot and I would get hot in the hot tub but then I decided that it's K because I just need to take a cool drink or two.

Now I am sitting in the hot tub, drinking a Black Cranberry flavored Mike's Hard Lemonade, watching Thundercats on my laptop. It's a cool show but then in like the very first episode when the squad is fleeing their home planet to go to the other planet and have to go in the cryotubes because it would a long journey, I realized that it's awfully "convenient" that the young kid Lion-O was the only one with the pod that didn't function right and thus when the journey was complete, aged up to have the body of a young man or young cat man even though he didn't have the experiences and education and thus was still a kid but in a man's body.

This was an interesting plot twist, but then I discovered a pretty major loophole in that when he came out, he was not only grown, but also well built and muscular, which doesn't make sense because he's been in what was supposed to be cryosleep and thus hasn't had any exercise or major nutrient supplements like protein shakes and thus should have came out skinny and emaciated. That is a really large plot hole, that kind disturbs what was supposed to be a very interesting and original plot twist that brings forth all sorts of challenges for our feline protagonists and it has really bothered me.

But then again Mumra has this magic that transforms him from a skinny mummy into the powerful and muscular demon thing that he transforms into so I guess it's not a major plot hole, but then yet again, Lion-O and the other Thundercats didn't have any of that magic spells that turn them from skinny things into large muscular beings so that plot hole concerning Lion-O still stands.

I suppose I'll let it go from now and see what the rest of the series has in store.

I never do things to satisfy anyone. I do believe in god but in my own way and in my own perspective, I fail miserably at church because people are fucking hypocrites and are against my anime and my way of seeing life. By the way, thunder cats is amazing, I used to fap to the female because her pussy was so tight and well drawn.

When I was kid, my mother put me in a catholic school.
Then I was expelled because I asked "why" to every damn thing they said.

I find it to be really vexing going to a church now, the whole thing represents what I hate the most: things without a reason.
But sadly part of being from a social species means you have to compromise at times for a greater result or to a have a pleasent time, instead of time wasted in a negative mood.

    Cheetarah was hot.
In the comics, which I think is source material, not sure, after Lion-o defeats Mumrah, he goes to the Book of Omens to further train, and what is days for him inside the book, is years outside. In that time, the mutants manage to win over the Thundercats and they get disbanded, some go missing, others are taking in servitude, and other captured. Cheetarah becomes the whore of the mutants (or something among those lines, no idea how far it goes, since the comic does not specify). The full spread sheet of her captured is quite hawt actually.

And if someone ask, she ends with Panthro at the end.

The most interesting of the characters, ends to be the male cub, cant remember the name; he is taken into servitude with his sister by Mumrah, while the sister has a passive resistance, he on the other hand, becomes really submissive to Mumrah wishes and ends changing sides. This is not shown after the future arcs when he betrays the Thundercats and ends exiled for 10 years or something like that. Later he retunrs to be pardoned by King Lion-o, old King Lion-o, that due to the Book of Omens he becomes old quickly. Has a big beard and he is quite badass.

Sadly, the story is for teenagers, so it never get that dark or serious as it should be, or as its implied to be. And the art is inconsistent, which work against it. But in all, good fun.

Miss the show, the 2011 TV series was BAD! Though 1st chapter was ok.

Yes Cheetara is a cutie. Pumyra and grown up Wily Kit are pretty hot too. Now I'm thinking of that Robot Chicken sketch where Cheetara and Wily Kit are in heat.

I went to a Catholic School up until High School. My mom actually teaches there, and I absolutely hated how religion and stuff like "turn the other cheeck" WWJD and all that other stuff was constantly shoved down our throats. We had indoctrination gatherings that they called "mass" 3 times a week during school which most kids hated but I honestly didn't mind because I never paid any attention and often times they would go long so we would miss out a bit on the class after that. Gotta love a school that puts their indoctrination meetings above the actual education.

But what I did really hate was how almost everyone was hypocritical, close minded, and so strict with every little thing. All day they would harp on and on about how we need to be all "Christian" to each other but then the moment you do one tiny little thing they don't like or break one tiny little rule they bring the hammer down hard on your ass. And most of them really hated it when you had the nerve to dare and have a "diferring opinion" and start questioning things. And I'm talking about serious questions too, and not silly trolling like I do around here.

It didn't help that my mom was a teacher there either so she would know immediately when I started "causing trouble" which consists of questioning things and daring to voice a different opinion.

IE saying "I believe in reincarnation and have had visions of a past life" or when they say things like "You better straighten up or you'll go to hell instead of Heaven when you die" and I reply with "The afterlife doesn't work that way. Very few if any humans are in hell, as according to that bible that you like to wave around and quote from every 5 minutes, hell was a place specifically designed for the demons, fallen angels, and other extremely evil spirits and not for the souls of people. When most humans die, they may get to Heaven or go through purgatory, remain on Earth as a ghost because some traumatic event is keeping them here, or they want to stay and look after their loved ones, or they may reincarnate." That one caused some tempers to flare.

I was so glad when high school times came and I could finally go to a public school where instead of education being put on the back burner to religion, it was instead put on the back burner to sports, like in most other schools. At the time the high school was also finishing up on a 5 million dollar renovation to redo the hallways, and labs, and add in a bunch of other sports stuff and so there was lots of stuff to do there and when you said things like "I believe in reincarnation" instead of "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG YOU, YOU LITTLE INGRATE!?" sometimes you would get a response like "That's very interesting, just the other day I was reading an article about that and there are quite a few stories of young kids who remember past lives, who they were, who their families were, and where they lived in a past life. Some have even traveled and have gotten exact details correct that they had no way of logically knowing and have even met family members from that past life" and then we would have an interesting conversation about that, and then teacher would say "Hey stop talking during class and get your work done!" and I'd be like "It is done." and the teacher would be like "I just gave out the assignment 10 minutes ago if you were even close to be done you probably just rushed it so you could goof around" and then the teacher would come and look at my work and then his or her jaw would drop and then they'd be like "Holy crap you actually are done and you got everything right." and then after that they didn't care if I read or talked quietly to someone else in class so long as I kept getting my work done and didn't disturb everyone else. It was nice.

And that's interesting about the Thundercats comics, I suspected the 80's show might have been off a comic series but I never knew it was so dark. Interesting how those events played out especially with Cheetara ending up with Panthro since as I recall in both versions of the show, she was pretty serious with Tigra.

Its the problem of dogmatic organizations, it will only work if you accept wholeheartedly the way of see reality. The moment you question it, its over.

About the comic and the show, as I said, I am not entirely sure if the comic is source material. But I know there are several comics post tv show, which are the ones I was talking about.

And yeah, in the TV series, the first season Cheetarah was getting lined up with Lion-o, then switched to Tygra, but it never went anywhere.
But in the comics, when Lion-o returns from the book, and start saving them all and gets to Cheetarah, shes punches him and hates him for a good while. She accept helping him because they have no choice at that point. But after that, even though is water under the bridge, they keep a distant friends relationship, even though she accept him as King.

The last and final arc, Lion-o is old, the whole planet is ruled by the Thundercats, and the mutants are persecuted and kept at bay at all times. Until the DOGS invade (YES, I am not making this up) The Dog hunters starts to persue the Thundercats and declare war, Lion-o has to ally with Mumrah to defeat them, and in the process he regains his youth once more. When the fight is over, they end friends with the dogs, and the mutants are sent back to planet Plundar, that is where they belong in the first place. Mumrah and Lion-o ends like, ok we will be at peace for now. And The End.

In any case, I remember the Thundercats with nostalgia. And the opening them was badass.
