So, which one looks better?

This was essentially an entry for Azmodius' event, but I liked it so I went ahead and redid them in 1920x1080. The problem is, I don't know which one looks more okay to throw on Reddit and share with that bunch of picky eaters.





Or alternatively, can you point out some stuff I can improve on?

I like the first just because with the other soldier it has an added feel of comradery and less open space.

Only thing I'd maybe point out is maybe you could add color to the 3 as well. Faint color, but just enough to make it stand out a bit. May make it look worse, but perhaps worth a try?

 

I agree with Lucy, except I think the black and white look just fine, with the orange glow.

I have more of a thing for the lonely guy. Mostly because the other guy in the 1st picture doesn't look right to me.

The first one looks better, maybe burn or put a shadow on the second guy so they will have a little more depths on it just my opinion and a lil bit blur i guess. And the number three looks flat and cant be notice in first glance maybe embossed it a little or do something on the sides of it to make it noticeable.

 

I'd personally try adding orange to the 3 and making it liek... burnity.

 

Yay people agree that the 3 is too..subtle.

 

I dun't like either. Nor battlefield.

 

I like second one and the only improvement you could do is making his eyes visible, not pitch black.

 

Took Bryne's idea, moved the 3 and added some shadow....
