Speed hacker!?

Hi all, recently i was on abyss and a gladiator atacked me, although he's atacks seemed very fast to me. Here's the chat log and tell me what you think, if it's a hack please ban him (click to enlarge):

That is called Skill weaving.

 

I thought gladiators had the slowest atack rate, like 7.5. But ok if you say it isn't, it isn't.

It seems pretty normal to me, 1skill+3 auto attack! Nothing wrong..

 

Two attacks in a second really isn't very fast at all.

 

The first and second box have 5 atacks in one second and third box has 4 atacks in one second.

What is confusing about the chatlogs is that weapons dont deal a "lump sum" of damage.

For example, lets say you're using a GreatSword. Great sword, if I remember correctly is a "slow 3 hit weapon".

That means when you swing your sword against an enemy, it will deal 3 hits worth of damage. usually consisting of 2 smaller hits, a 3rd larger, with a fourth number in bigger text representing the sum.

it looks kinda like this in game

623--> total damage for the 3 strikes
519 --> The "main strike" of the weapon, largest number; first hit
52 --> secondary strike, smaller damage
52 --> tertiary strike, smaller damage

So when you see it in a log, it looks like

XX:XX:21 : enemy deals 519 damage.
XX:XX:21 : enemy deals 52 damage.
XX:XX:21 : enemy deals 52 damage.

which looks like they're attacking 3+ times a second, when in reality they arent.

I think the overflood of hackers in server is starting to create a mass histeria paranoia about hackers...as everyone is looking for them now.

Well, we certainly do seem to have a hacker problem. Fortunately, I'm packing one mean ban-hammer. The more bold people get with their hacks, the more we catch. They're just expediting their departure from the Gamez Network.

It's the more cunning hackers you have to be careful of, the ones who don't hack to the max, just enough to give themselves a good edge.
