String Instruments with bow =3

Anyone here play or played an instrument like Violin, cello, viola?

I just picked up Violin last week and loving it and wonder if anyone plays it or any other bow instrument.

I played guitar for 5 years and trumpet for 9 years but these violins are something else and so much harder.

 

I play a few instruments too but mainly play the guitar. Only tried the violin a few times. Never mastered it xD It is challenging and interesting due to the instrument having no Frets >_< had a hard time handling the bow too lmao.

Hands down to those who can play it~

 

Yea this thing is annoying to play but i think i got the basics down. I been playing for like 1 week and i know 3 major scales 3 octaves and a few easy children songs like silent night and twinkle twinkle little star XD

trying to figure out where i can find things to practice and what to practice for this violin.

i can play it all on my trumpet but yea XD wanna play it on the original instrument, even it takes me years

I like lindsey music more.

Plus i bet lindsey's personality is better lol plus lindsey does everything herself, all her music, all her videos, all her dancing. And she collabes with other youtubers to do some of her work. She is independent in her music and refuses to go to a bigger corporation as she knows they will try to control her creativity. And she dances while she plays lol Really hard to play a violin just standing up and she takes it further.

Vanessa is good but i like lindsey more.

I played piano. I am ok with it but not really good. I know some songs her and there and know the patterns and notes and scales. but nothing fancy

 

I personaly, can't play on violin, cello or any other musical instrument... However, I love the sound of the cello! That deep sound, which just melts your soul!

 

. The bass is nice on cello. Cello can be played more than just bass too

 

I play a bow.


But I can only do it if I also have arrows, trololol

I do hope you know that when she does all that crazy dancing and twirling stuff that she's using her prerecorded music and isn't actually playing live.

 

Lol your such a lindsey noob. She does play while she does all of this. She actually does live performances and yes she does miss like one or two notes once in a whil and you hear it. Violin ishard enough to playwhile standingstill. There were a couple times when her violin got out of tune during one of her songs and she had to go off stage during her song and get a new violin. And she even did behind the scenes of her music videos and she plays the parts of the scenes. Just like the top signature.

this thread makes me feel very useless coz I cant play any kind of musical instrument

 

ITs not hard to pick one up and just play it. Thats how I learned Guitar.

And if money is an issue, there are cheap versions of almost every type of instrument that cost less than 80$

i tried playing guitar once but my fingers hurts and get stiff, so I grew tired of it and give up

 

yea that wiht any instrument though.

For me, Violin hurts my Left wrist as you have to hold the violin in a certain way or you learn bad habits and also the vibrato which involves moving your hand alot.

The piano, i say finger tips but not as much.

Guitar your Fingers get really tired really fast so you need to learn stamina.

Any brass instrument like trumpet really makes your lips tired especially when your playing the higher notes. Then your mouth becomes dry and cant produce as good as sound.

Its all just practice. The more you play, the more immune you get to the pain
