[Suggestion] Restart Rankings

Its been years already since the rankings is not restarted, while counting down names, I've seen 15-16 inactive players in Siel's top killer, and about 7 inactive legions in siel, Idk about lumiel since I don't play in lumiel.
My concern is, give the new players/tranferees a chance for new rankings.

Not sure if similar thread is already made though. =/

 

i dont think so maybe they will give price to those top killers, like they do last AP restart

I would have to say no to this because, yes there are players who never log on anymore, so I think it should only those who haven't been active at all in game, but as for those who do actually play, it isn't fair for them, cause they probably worked really hard to achieve somewhat of a goal for them.

therefore if there is a kill reset , they don't need some effort to hunt / kill the rival (asmo/ely) .

 

You don't beat inactive player? You dont deserve to be on top.

 

i agree. they have to reset it back to ZERO .

if a new player wants to get on the top50 now he must be zerg leader

I would agree with this but don't include those inactive players.Let's just say remove the banned top players.

 

Or just remove everyone who is not lvl 60 - done.

 

Bad idea for everybody using EAC like me and not having a second set option, what are we supposed to do? Walk around naked till AP magically appears to us?As for the incatives : think of it as a milestone to pass, it ain't a big deal and it harms the people who are still playing.

if they reset the kills there won't be a problem.

as for the AP .. it goes mostly to the legion AP's since legions that died or are inactive are still on the list (but i don't care about AP)

just the kills need a reset

 

Kills definitely need a reset... people killing their friends/theirselves on a 2nd computer/etc..

 

Simply don't let the names of the characters that are in-active for a certain amount of time, say 3 months to appear in ranking. Reset, wipe and such aren't always the best solution and people needs to start thinking out of the box.

Let's say player A has enough amount of kill counts to be on the top 10. If player A becomes in-active for straight 3 months, not even a single log-in then the character's name won't appear in the ranking in the next ranking update until he logs-in again. This way, no reset will be needed and no one will get disappointed once they come back from being in-active.
