Very imporant thing to fix - sorcerer's DP skills

Most of you might not know it but sorcerer's DP skills are not supposed to be like this.They are way more balanced and dealing way less damage.The current dmg of sorcerer's DP skills is for version 1.5 or earlier not 2.6.This is a huge issiue as we have all seen some random sorcerer walking arround and suddenly BAM dp skill + 1-2 skills and anyone is dead.Not to mention the one-shot kills.I hope this'll be fixed soon because it's boosting sorcerers a lot.

i'll show u how many ss of DP skills i got, and i didnt ss all of them! its literally an abusement of some sort

fix it.......................... i cant stand being a 5 star and having a rank 7 poping SoF and SB when im just about to kill him

 

The problem is, the "extra" part of our DP spells are affected by our MB...

Well, even with this, full buffed ( 2700 MB ) but with no PvP Attck, sure kill only comes on rangers , sins and clerics ....

Gladiators, Templars, chanters, sorcs and Sm are not even oneshotted...


I would say the only effective defense are elemental ressists and PvP deff ...



One more thing ...
If you see sorc just casting SB/LB you are happy guy ....
Smart Sorcs, silences/stun you and then burst you ...

Currently it works like ( 2703 +3446 ) * MB multyplier = OMFG dmg ...

If I am right it should be (2703) * MB multyplier + 3446 dmg .. .same for LB ...

With 2700 MB, Sorrcerer should do 225% more dmg with spells

also, winged magic boost our magical att by 5% while flying ...

I don t know how is WM included in dmg formula, so I will leave it out

Situation A) dmg + bonus dgm are affected by MB

(2892+3446) + (2892+3446)*2,25 = 20 598

Situation B) only basic dmg is affected by MB

(2892+3446) + 2592 *2,25 = 12 170


I did 25 807 Dmg ... Well there is a big difference ...
One answer could be that the NPC have Fire ressist less then 0 .. or I don t know ..

Let's assume Shadowburst does an average of 12,000 damage. That would make the MB multiplier more or less equal to 2, since:
2703+3446 = 6149 | ~6000 x 2 = 12000.
If you apply MB = 2 to the second part, it would still be around 9,000 damage, since (2703*2) + 3446 = ~9000. Either way, that's still a one-shot for classes that would've died (non-warrior classes).

Sorry.. but that woud be just aprox 100% bonus dmg from Mb a.k.a 1200 Mb..

Because 6149 dmg is the basic dmg without MB include ... so the extra 6k comes from mb, so the MP would be 100% > 1200 mb ...

The max dmg without debufs on the target should be around 20k ... as I posted in my post earlier

Fire ressist and PvP deff does wonders

 

It was left like that because our Glacial Shard, Flame Spray and partially Inferno were nerfed by damage. On a NPC with 180 Magic Boost, my Glacial Shard deals 3509 damage, which is less than the tooltip. So, if you plan to make Shadowburst hit 8-9k max, 12k crit, then, unfortunately, my Glacial Shard should do pretty much the same. Good bye.

you dont have to take an average. The Dmg-Formula for Mboost is:

10 P. of MB = +0.8 %dmg

so for a sorc with full 2600 Mboost (Cap) that means for LB/SB:

basic damage: 2703 dmg

260 mb x 0.8 % = 205 % = 5622,24

adds up to: 8325,24 basic

PLUS on Elyos/Balaur: 3470

adds up to: 11771,24 dmg if you dont crit.

and it is like that on retail, cuz i play sorc on retail to.

 

As I said .. the problem here is that the Extra Asmo/Balaur dmg is affected by MB ...

 

While i do appreciate all the math involved here, I think too much emphasis is being put on the damage of one or 2 skills that can only be used once an hour. Also given the defensive capabilites of a Sorc, yeah... this has become a qq thread. Sorceror = Paper Tiger
