What is Spawn Protection abuse?

I have been getting alot of questions about 'What is Spawn Protection abuse?'

So to clear some things up;

'Spawn Camping' (When not using the known bug) being ported in enemy land

Is when a player or a group of players stands at a Obelisk/Teleporter and waits for enemy players to spawn.

While the player is stood still (none targetable/blinking) the player is in a supposed 'Spawn Protection' state were he or she will not be harmed while stood still for roughly 30 seconds. (But this is bugged)

If the player moves then he or she becomes targetable and can be killed.
THIS IS ALLOWED.

But when a player is stood still and is in the 'Spawn Protection' state, some members of the enemy faction will attempt to kill them by doing AoEs, mainly Glads/Sorcs/Rangers etc...
The player, although in Spawn Protection state will actually take damage and CAN BE KILLED.

This my friend is AGAINST THE RULES.

And will get you a ticket to the county jail!

I hope this clears things up for you.

My advice to you is just to stop Spawn Camping and do actual PvP.

so people who are being camped basically have 30 seconds to log off and not play til the campers leave?

actually u dont even need aoes at least sorc can hit them with pretty much anything. (freezing wind is popular, short range, instant, fast cooldown). tab targetting selects them so they DONT have a chance to port out. thats what sux the most if u bound somewhere

 

its kinda sad that people actually do stand by an obelisk or a teleporter and wait for people. And 9 times outta 10 there is a group of them and u have literally no chance at getting away, even casting a scroll wont help i dont think, Can you cast fully whilst taking hit? (im not being cocky im just unsure myself)

Would be nice if NO asmos/elyos could enter the other factions towns and campsites imo (maybe coz im a cleric n we aint the best pvp'ers out there

Well that's why i stated that it is bugged.
Freezing Wind is a single target skill, so the Sorc must of been able to target the player.

Most players attack the NPCs stood near them so that their AoE skills hit.

Whats the punishment for this? Jail? I see people using it all the time and don´t know if I could care less. (If they get jailed, I don´t, if they get banned ofc I report them. Even if they´re my friends!)

 

Players have been jailed for 4 hours due to this.
Without reports i cannot jail and without reports i cannot see repeat offenders.

 

why not change the rules and make them a 1day ban,2day ban,3day ban + ap wipe for repeat offenders?

 

That is down to the higher ups not me.
I just follow the rules ^_^
