When to group and meet friends?

So I came from another MMO and played mostly solo PVE or grouped with my wife and an old friend, though more recently I've been running lots of 5 man groups. I'm not interested in raiding, as I'm just too casual for keeping up with 20-40 people at a time, but I would like to get into some groups and meet some new folks to play with.

But I was wondering, about what level do you start getting called on to group for quests and such? I just finished the Ascension quest at level 9 and was immediately level 20 (holy crap! the fast leveling is taking some getting used to haha), and figure it's gonna be time soon. What're the most important rules of etiquette?

Is it like WoW where before you go into a dungeon most other folks expect you to have researched the bosses? Or is it more relaxed? I just don't want to start off on the wrong foot

 

haha! it wont be like wow xD! its somewhat like a nonstop battle ground though

and yes leveling is easy but getting gear is another thing

you can A donate and get gear or B work your ass off in game and get gear :O
and the bosses here are bugged as hell >_>


btw i was a feral tank in wow :3 i love running around with 70k+ hp <3


and btw just start off by getting to lvl 55 than doing Dark Poeta for a couple of days and getting all your gear !

 

You will be invited in a group as soon as u get lvl 55.First for DP raids to get your gear and help others to get it.Then if u are good and skilled pvper you will be invited for pvp raids but now u gotta be very skilled with all those high ranks out there.

 

Awesome, thanks guys. Not too certain how far I'll get with the PVP in particular, as it's something I've honestly only done in WoW maybe three times. I've always just liked the PVE gameplay best. However, this game strikes me as intersting enough to give it a try, I believe

Also, could someone explain chat to me? I have yet to get it to work. I don't seem to have access to any channels, though it says I'm logged into 'channel 1.'

And one last thing, I would never know what a respectable / reasonable donation would be to a group offering this up for me to get to join in on, so if any of you would try and give me an honest idea of what an average 'thanks' is, I'd appreciate it. I don't make much money, but I do like putting what spending money I do make towards awesome causes

 

i never rly got into pvp in wow, in my character because all i was good for was taking ass loads of dmg on my tank but when i played my friends paly it was lots of fun i guess its almost the same cept that theres ALOT of zergs in here and by that i mean you see a group of 20+ ppl running at you, but something i really love about aion is that i get to look like a bunny but bite like a bear

 

use global chat .ely for ely and .asmo for asmo but u need 10kk kinah too use them.
