    Yep its rare but it does happen, maybe something to do with the hedgehog? When it happens only option is to click cancel and hope a shard isnt in there lol.

    It's because your pet was picking up something while you're gathering. Let your pet finish picking up the loots then start gathering.

    Ah that may be it but I will say I have never seen this happen on retail so definitely something is buggy with it here.

    You are correct it is a bug but to counter this one on gamez, you just let your pet pick up the loots first before gathering. This has been reported a long time ago by someone but nothing has been done on Gamez's part yet.
