Solved ID or Password does not match (2)

    I hope someone can help me with this issue.
    I keep getting this message and I don't know why. My password does not contain any special symbols it is only letters and numbers. I can log in to the website just fine.
    The caps Lock isn't on. I start the game using the GamezAion.exe.
    ???
    I don't know what is the issue.

    It is a new account? If yes, you have to verify your account before to works ingame! Check your mail, that you used to create your account!

    Your password is probably longer than supported by the client. Try changing it here and make sure it's shorter than it was.

    My password is only 8 characters long. Should I make it shorter than that?

    Which launcher you using; 32 or 64 bit? If you using the 32 one, that might help.

    8 characters is short enough. That is like the minimum length required for passwords these days. When you said you only use letters and numbers, just double checking that letters are only from the English alphabet (no dashes, hats, dots, waves etc. on the letters).

    Either way there are several reasons why this could happen. I believe the quickest way to isolate the issue is someone connecting to you through teamviewer and trying to login to their own account using your client. If it works, it is an issue with your account. If it doesn't work, it is an issue with your client. Once this is cleared up, it will be much easier to get to the root cause.

    I have used both and still the same issue.

    one thing I forgot to mention (not sure if it had something to do with the problem) is that when I start the 64 launcher, and after I get "the launcher needs to be updated" message, I click ok then get this message

    But when I click ok I continue to Gamez Aion launcher screen and click start game

    Question: Did you download the client through the Gamez torrent or through NCSoft launcher? This error means that the launcher doesn't have sufficient permissions to download Gamez related files. You can right click -> run it as administrator to allow the files to download. If you got the client through NCSoft launcher there is a chance you were connecting to retail.

    I downloaded the client through the torrent file in the home page.
    Also when I run it as administration I still get the same message.

    Overall I wouldn't recommend keeping your client inside the Downloads folder. In any case, download Teamviewer and PM me your ID/pass. I will connect to you and fix it remotely.

    Hi!
    Try this to solution for that error:
    1- Download this http://www.mediafire.com/file/b2ld3hzf445g518/GamezAION.bat
    2- Drop it in your Aion folder
    3- Right click --> Create a shortut
    4- Drop that shortcut on desktop
    5- Run it

    I checked, he had the client set to Read Only so the launcher couldn't save files into it. His client is now fully functionally (I logged in with my account) so it is a purely account issue now. Told him to try again tomorrow in case there is an activation delay. His password should also not be a problem, simple English letters and numbers.

    Update: Everything is fine now and I can log in in with no issues.

    The issue was with the account activation. I went to the web site and clicked "My Account" and in "Status" it says "pending activation."
    I went back to the email and clicked the link again. I did that the first time I registered but I don't know why it wasn't activated then.
