    Hello everyone.

I have problems with the launcher... it just doesn't want to run. I have a Windows 7 x64bit.

When I run it as admin, it creates the Logs folder and just shows up the error in the picture.
I have installed all necessary drivers and are up to date along with framework and c++ etc... Tried read only empty box, re-downloading the launcher etc... I put exceptions on firewall and even turned it off completely for a moment to see if there is a difference...
Please assist me because it's my 2nd day of trying to fix the issue and nothing seems to work...

    Hello.
I installed .NET Framework 4.5 and I have since tried the c++ 2014,2015,2017 and now I have found a package that installs all of them since 2010 and still doesn't work.

I started getting an error on the official BDO launcher stating : api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing. I tried re-installing both framework and the c++ but to no avail.

I am really sad this is happening as I played for a week on this server then my Hard drive gave up and now with a fresh windows 7 and fresh installed drivers and game on the new HDD, I can't play...

Already tried with those, as I have seen you post in other threads when the launcher gives failed to init security.

"Failed to init security" was my first problem to be honest as I have a Windows 10 as well and I went for that first. Official BDO worked like a charm, but the launcher just could not initiate security. The firewall and defender had exceptions for the whole folders of BDO and the launcher as well as I turned them off completely to test if that worked and it didn't.
So I decided to use my Windows 7 installation and try it this way...

If there is a way 100% to fix the windows 10 issue, I can go back to Windows 10 if necessary...

So nothing can be done and it's a lost cause?... I guess I will be reinstalling like a maniac until it actually works... hopefully.

    UPDATE:
I decided to start clean again and re-installed my windows.
I noticed that along with my GeForce drivers for the GPU it installs the latest c++ as well.
So what I did is install all my drivers and then use the all in one runtime programs that Noyah posted in a different thread.
Issue is resolved, the launcher and game work without a hitch. Close if necessary.
