that's actually windows 7, and I'm like 90% sure it's a gfx card issue. try running other games, and try downloading programs to check its temperature, make sure it's well fitted in the PC, or even make sure you have a capable graphics card in the first place

Try to update your graphics card drivers or reinstall them if you already have the new ones.

That is a bad rendered object.
    Check your drivers.

Never been a fan of laptop graphics cards myself, last laptop I had got fried up due to a Radeon card. Try running the game with something like Speedfan running on the background, the card should be labeled in there. If it heats up to like 75-80 Celsius, I'd advise you to stop playing on your laptop before you end up frying the whole thing.

If temperature is the problem, chances are the graphics card overheated and started malfunctioning at some point in time, which could eventually lead to your entire computer malfunctioning if you keep overheating it. It can also be caused by trying to overclock some part of your computer. But just to make sure, try running some other heavily graphics-dependent game, see how things work out.

And then pray to the goods that updating your drivers and running something like Speedfan works because if it doesn't then you'll be lucky to have your laptop run at all. It costs more to replace a laptop graphics card then it is to just get a new damn laptop.

I would also recommend using a cooling pad like any of these. Do go online and search around though, I've been through like 3 or 4 cheap Walmart ones and the fans on those damn things don't last at all.

Absurd to consider that error a heating problem. But meh...

If there's a problem with a laptop video card that's been running fine for some time, then a heating problem is a possibility. Probably not the main culprit, but it would be foolish to eliminate the possibility.

It's fucked up driver imo but checking all the other things like a heating or something isn't a bad idea.

Heating problems would not affect the rendering of a single object like the one being shown there in his SS. That´s a vertex or a bunch of them gone awry, which is the video card not interpreting that particular object in a myriad of them. I blame drivers or a corrupted file.

And besides a heating issue is something that build ups over time, thermodynamics says so, not me; and he is having that on the go, according to his post.

How about uninstall aion, then follow by deleting any folders related to ncsoft and aion from your program file. Once you are done with that reinstall aion again and see if it works?

Don't tell him to reinstall the whole thing, that won't fix anything and it will take time.

Other than that, it doesn't hurt to check if you've updated your drivers.

Happens to me too since 4.0 only in Katalam and only in some zones....so i'm pretty sure it's not the graphic card ... also , it happens on PC and Laptop too.
