Starter gear for n00bZ

Heyo gamers i have a suggestion to allow n00bers to use some starter gear to launch into the game a little faster
I know there's an argument of "omg its 10x easier you're terrible if you cant get into the game" etc. But when you come from retail and having a lot of shit already in that, it just kind of feels bad coming here and starting all over. let me know all your opinions and argument etc.
I was thinking this gear would be best to allow people to use to boost up - even though its already thrown in calph to allow people to do that if they have the CP for it, but its still 50 per item which is outrageous and you'll have way better gear before you get 250 cp (Probably).

 

Simple question. Why would we need this.
You can buy very simmilar equipment ( and much better weapon ) + accessories for a bunch of silver ( you get 10 mil very soon when you start).
This eq is sold by NPC in calpheon. It require little journey but helps alot. Make you able to grind at catfish very efficient.
At Catfish/manshas and forest you drop another armor and accessories set that gives realy nice AP and DP that make you suitable to grind Helms.
Helms/elrics and Abandon iron mine drop another sets of accessories which is simmilar to PRI witch or mark of shadow.

 

There are plenty of low level items to get. I had 190 DP on day 2, which is enough to start grinding for boss gear upgrades.

 

true, i had no struggle getting to where im at, but i think thats just because i already knew what to do
i just get on and see a lot of people begging for "help with catfish lvl 50 quest" or "boost to 56"
i understand that some might thing there "isnt a need" for this gear, but i think having a starter boost for these kinds of people would really help them stay around and get into the game more comfortably. If I wasn't so dedicated, I would have quit the first day because I didn't like starting all over again and remaking a whole character.

 

I won't vote for the free gears since they are fairly easy to get but I will suggest for more Black Stones at the beginning (Since Loyal Attendance Reward doesn't work).
I understand casual players play Private Server for relatively easier mode on this game, yet the struggle and the feeling of achievements are one of the beauties of this game.
Giving them free gears will make newbies get 57/58 level in an hour, got bored and quit the server faster than ever.

Do you really think that having, let's say, 200-300 gs at the start of the game will make ppl get bored sooner? I think not. I think many other things in this game (retail or not) are boring or even terribles and currently untouched by both the community and the admin/devs.
And the latters look like to receive and enjoy donations just to be able to forget their role and the responsibility behind the money the community gives to them...but this is another matter.

 

The features that you mentioned that left untouched are the Game Design weakness and it's hard to change them unless they are more profitable. The game designers are those who responsible on this.
In my opinion people have to start playing the game instead of coming in for pure blind grinding and ended up spamming server chat asking questions. You can't deny that there are quite a number of new BDO players that never play this game before as well.

 

Loyal attendance works fine I believe.

...Did i mentioned that they just recently nerfed drop rates, mob spawn rates, blackstones and hard & sharp loot rates?
......Oh, and enhancement success rate.
I think we are better to return to retail (or swap to another game). At least we'll have less bugs (maybe).

I think that, given the latest nerf to everything, a bit of a "starter" gear pack wouldn't be bad, isn't it? ;D
