Sharps and Hards

So are you planning to add drop of shap and hard crystals to monsters?
Now is kinda cancerous... You can get them from rbf but where's the fun when u cant participate there ? getting blaster by everything ...
Buying them from market place or gathering ? Ye... sure didn't came here to sit for 5hrs in market place or to gather ...

Another thing is ancient magic crystals ... u can heat them into black magic crystals, why you wont make recipe for sharps / hards like 10 black stones of that type heated to Sharp or hard ...
Im sitting on 500-1000 memory fragments from 1-3hrs of grind but i cant do shit with that

 

If you dont like gathering then try to turn your Some memfrags into silver > Use silver to pre-order shards, it seems you enjoy doing scrolls so more frags will come with ease. I understand gathering and market farming can be annoying for some users but the game cant just change to your liking like that. Making shards drop from monsters would throw the entire ecosystem out of wack.

I enjoy gathering and story/questing more then monster grinding for some odd reason but thats me. I take my over stock of shards and sell them to buy blackstones I need which are also always out of stock but im not asking for devs to make blackstones drop from gathering, I take advantage of pre-ordering bite my tongue and grind monsters if i need stones that bad.

 

Still, why we can't make this game better then retail, i think it's one of the most stupid things on retail (you can't achieve End - game gear in hardcore grinding game w/o life skilling)
10 Black stone weapons is about the same price as sharp(and 10 armors is almost the same as hard) and way more achievable, we're not getting 100 + blackstones per hr so it wont be so broken like this reciepe for black magic crystals ...

Yeah but u can pre-order only 10 of them ... tbh my last enchanting after PEN/TET try was about 30 sharps for 2 TRI tries ... and guess what ? i have still PRI (i wasn't going full retard mode and DUO on 0 fs i was actually getting 16-19 failstacks before DUO try ... )

 

That's the moment your entire argumentation goes out the window.

As @FuRiouS stated, you need to balance and value most activities available equally, otherwise the entire frame collapses. Create a new frame and you can change whatever you want. Takes time. Lots of time. The kind of time nobody wants to put into when there is a perfectly fine frame available.

 

Huh? where's the balance between Grinding and life skills ? Life skills are close to grinding in form of profit ? Only with drop scroll and only on gathering so dunno what are you talking about

And let's be real do you know a single person who would gather if it wouldn't be a single way of getting Hards and sharps ?

 

Me, as i need materials for crafting... This game isnt designed around you mindless circle jerk grinders (not meant in a bad way lol). I enjoy this game for the crafting, trading, questing and riding on my scuba horse!! Basically I and im sure many others enjoy ALL aspects of the game.

 

Yeah, but as far as i know you can't be even close to profit from grinding with crafting ... so what's the point of doing that, i want to be competetive, i want to prepare for Sieges / have fun on RBF but i can't,
How do i collect sharps and hards ? RBF > Run straight into enemy team > Repeat for 20min ...
I dont want to spend 3days only to get energy so i can properly gather ... and then spend infinite amout of time only to gather (which i hate) When i could grind and be able to upgrade my inventory... I'm sitting since yesterday at 4.2kk pre-order for sharps, guess how many i got ^.^

I had some energy potions from 4.5k value pack,
Yeah been gathering hard ... Got 50 hards and 4 sharps nice memememe

 

This game is a marathon, not a sprint. Things take time, even on private servers. You expect them to hand you everything on a silver platter within 1-2 weeks? If gathering and marketing for shards is too complicated for you I suggest you find a faster server or a new game, sorry.

BTW I make lots of silvers from my gathering and crafting and still have fun in RBF with my DUO gear haha . Maybe ill keep saving my gathering and crafting silvers to just buy PEN but honestly whats the fun in that? I would love to one day ding my first PEN in this game!

 

U miss the point, i'm not saying that they should give me 100 hards and sharps per hour on grinding, but any possibility to get them from grind, at the best i can farm like 70-100 blackstones per hour,
with 10-1 heating reciepe is abot 10-7 hards / sharps , i think you can get waaaaaaaaaay more from gathering, am i wrong ? or it's too OP in your opinion ?

 

Ya man I dunno what else to say, Im just gonna stick to my disagreement argument. I dont think this will be a good idea for the balance of the game but thats just my opinion, sorry. No point in continuing this argument/debate from my side.

 

You also get silver, equipment, sellables, special drops and combat exp. Every activity has its purpose. That's balancing. If you were to obtain everything by combat everyone would do it which leads to gathering, for example, to be underused and a shortage of materials.

Buff combat and you will need to adjust every connection with the buff.

Also, black crystals are different than sharp/hards. They have different purposes which makes them more important in other situations.

You better understand that being able to obtain everything from doing one thing is not fun, has no diversity and leads to wasted game mechanics.

 

This server is everything but balance hahaha. I'm so surprised and amused by the points so firmly stated by some of you LOYAL members of this incredible community x'D... But please, go on <3.

 

If u're life skiller u dont need skill points, level, or even gear ?
Life skills give you exp .. silver.
You're saying that there wont be any materials on market beacuse noone will gather? Welp there are none anyway beacuse they're useless and not profitable at all.
Atm. there are like 2-3 sharps placed on the market every hour xDDD Most of them are going on pre-order which is about 5.5-6kk xDD

On grinding you can make what? 200kk per hour ? i can see that u can make that much with your dumb life skills

Then comes time for enchanting gear xDDD and yep they left server by this time

I think majority of the community on this server didnt came to gather sheeps for 5hrs everyday.

And whats wrong about many sharps and hards on the market? show me the downside

After 1hr of hardcore grinding sheeps, furiously clicking R and 20 suicidal thoughts i've manged to get ! 5 ! Sharps ! Yeah i have 5 more chances to fail my duo dandelion, that's just creazy. if you dont believe me here is screen shot !

Retail is a marathon, and this server is not supposed to be a marathon. Pretty sure that's the point of the server. On retail its acceptable.

I've found solution for us, hardcore grinders, lets go farm witch earring with our boyz on hexe ! We can melt 1 witch earring for possible 2 sharps !
