NA server (?) unstable

Issue started yesterday.

Problem/s encountered :
1. Randomly getting crash to desktop after character select
2. Randomly disconnecting (see below for details)

Prior issues with game : none

How to repeat issue :
1. Set launcher to NA server and start
2. Press Start game (sometimes stuck, followed by crash to desktop)
3. Select server (same as above)
4. Select character (at first, only had issues with new chara (Shai) and could login to main (Witch) no issue, but afterwards all charas affected) (often stuck at black screen, then around 10-30sec later, crash to desktop)
4. Play normally (randomly disconnect (either no blackscreen, or tries to reconnect but stuck with sunset background) either immediately, or after a few mins (last was during cooking))

Fixes/workarounds tried :
1. Creating/playing on a different character (no improvement)
2. Creating new charas on EU server (a bit worse delay, but stable, 30 mins+ each on 2 charas without issues)
3. Redownload game from torrent + fresh reinstall (no improvement)

Some other people in server chat said they had the same issue recently, but cannot confirm since I can't consistently login on NA

 

You can either try to use a VPN or delete the Cache folder from Documents/Black Desert.

 

Restarting your computer, restarting the Launcher, Deleting the username\documents\BDO\cache folder, Run a File-Check through the Launcher. Hope it works

Please let us all know what you did in order to get it to work again, that way you will be helping out the community as well with a solution.

 

Late reply is late.

1. All other fixes (restart/reinstall/play on EU instead/make another character) do nothing.

2. Clearing both cache folders (followed by force recheck in launcher) "sometimes" works, at least on the characters on NA. Had to repeat that at least twice since first post.

Only downside is resetting the hotkey bar and other settings (and the time it takes to force recheck).

EDIT : problem came back when i made a new character. Either stuck on START QUIT SETTINGS screen with Now Processing , or upon login, cannot talk to NPCs followed by game blackscreen and please wait 40 seconds (then game loads and repeats the cannot talk to NPCs + blackscreen)

 

About the settings, it does help a lot to upload the settings you like to the server in the main menu settings, there is an option to upload and download settings to the server, that way you can Always retrieve your settings.

About the problem...seems that your Documents folder is being overridden by another version of BDO?
I simply cannot give you more help since I am not at your computer and able to see exactly what the problem is, could be an issue with 3rd party software for all I know

 

update (again) :

Deleting BOTH caches fixes it sometimes while recheck files (launcher) does not. Still doesn't explain why.

Not sure if its a connection issue since I can connect to the EU (worse ping from Asia) server and other games just fine.

edit : no, i dont have any other bdo (pserver or retail) installed
