Server wipe on GamezBD?

If they wipe the server;
Central Market Reset
No one who controls the game flow with quadrillions in storage
No longer a few massive guilds that don't have any contenders
ALL mistakes from the past can now be avoided speeding up the gameplay considerably
No longer an impossible race (used correctly this time) to catch up with the elitists
"Playing field leveled" so that new gamers can join and immediately feel as if they are on par with everyone else

Gamers here, and everyone with a verifiable account, will have ALL the actual money spent here on this server; Available to them from day one. Many will fail this check, as they have sold their accounts and therefore lost the guarantee.
That one is the one I really want to see implemented, because otherwise there is little-to-absolutely-no reason to come back to this server.

If they don't wipe the server;
Nothing happens...no more or new gamers, since they don't really have an incentive to come here, other than the same incentive they've had All this time, where sadly enough; no inflow of new people, for many many months now.

First of all, english is not my first language so I will make many gramatical errors, just wanted to make that clear.
And second lets look at retail server and the changes they did in the past years with the new updates, classes etc. They made open-world pvp more punishing so the griefers wont be able to bully newcomers like they used to. You can read the patches yourself, I wont copy+paste here.
Second like in any other games, people sell accounts to other people, this is not something new and it will always happening, even on big titles like League of Legends for example.
Third thing, if you wipe out the players progress, do you really think it will be really a good idea? From my point of view it is not, the progress for new players can be easily fixed if the server have more events and more rewarding stuff to do, exclusive for the new players (not giving away stuff for free of course, like me and others they have to grind and put some work in it) or just give them some temporary pen gear boss for 30 days. I think that is the best idea that came to mind.
The 4th thing, buff the early-mid game grind spots, so they will be more rewarding in trash loot, not drop dependent.
Those are just suggestions, however this is up to the developers, not us. If they really want to wipe the server they will do it regardless of what anyone thinks.
And to end this conversation, I am against the wipe idea.

It isn't a great comparison to this server, but I fully understand the terrible implementations that Pearl Abyss (P.A.) have repeatedly made.

Here our paths diverge, as I firmly believe that it is entirely possible, to both give the life-skillers as well as PvE gamers, the possibility to thrive in our community, without having to be subjected to random violence.
I am in agreement that catering to the crowd of "meainstreamers" (mean mainstreamers who believe in "meta-gaming") out there, can be a REALLY lucrative income stream. But in fairness to the administration here, they have been doing that for quite a while, and before they started leaning so heavily on it, this place was absolutely Thriving!

I would love to see some of your suggestions implemented, but please remember to keep to the subject matter at hand, and not literally start changing this thread as well, by again breaking the forum rules in the form of "hi-jacking" a thread.

If you want to see some of your ideas actually implemented, then please by all means let's get more people in here and talk about it. The Telegram application is a security risk, so this is going to be the main place new people will come.

There is no need to talk about server shutdown because it won't change anything because you don't have a new client, so server shutdown won't make any sense because in the end we will stop at one place waiting for a new one, so server wipe is better to delete the server and

"Server Shutdown" was never mentioned at all, and doesn't belong here at all, since this is about a "Server Wipe".

Isn't wiping silver from people accounts a better solution? So they wont control the market anymore?(Just a suggestion). Also that guy @JoyBlacK had a fair point, if you wipe the server, nothing will change at all, the server dont have new client neither updates. Its like, time has frozen for this server. I am right now online and the atmosphere is a little bit depressing, nobody is using chat, Vellia feels like a ghost city. We need update as soon as possible, this is the only chance this server have to prevail and BE GREAT AGAIN.

 

It would work a whole lot better, if I didn't HAVE TO keep repeating the same things, simply because it very much seems as if you aren't actually reading what it says, in the previous reply right above your reply.

If there's a server wipe, it'll kill what's left of GamezBD. People won't come back. People won't be joining if there's no new content.
Server wipes after this long are stupid.

If people wanted to "start over" they'd just go back to retail at this point, where it's now a lot more fair since Kakao are yeeted, and the game is up-to-date.

 

Hmmm...What exactly do you think is left at this point? The same 50-100 people logging in to "farm Pearls"? How is that a "good thing that you don't want to loose"? Could it Plausibly be; that most people who played BDO, ONLY did it to show off what they could get in-game? That it was ENTIRELY about some "status symbol'ing", where if you had money you could pay to show off all the stuff you had in a computer game? Because -not to diminish your point there- it just seems that the ones left here, although I couldn't possibly know for a fact, cause I am not completely delusional, are people who either Really enjoy the game (and/or this server in particular), OR people who just like to show off what they have accomplished in the 6+ years this has been around. So...if you like to show off what you have; Make a video, to preserve the memory knowing fully well that you never really liked the game itself, but others thought it was impressive.

Well I was about to state that I knew what other people wanted or were up to, so I cannot fault you for this one, it is an unfortunate byproduct of "western-media influence". The point here is; NO! Hmmm...That's really odd, since you begin with saying that this is the best place on Earth, and that if they wipe the server you will kill them all, and nobody's going to come back ever to this server; IF they were to wipe the server data, and make it as if the last 6+ years of hoarding never happened. Sorry, I just rephrased what I thought was the meaning behind the text...See how irritating it is, when someone doesn't just read what it says?
